I bought this to use with streaming services that were not on my Smart TV. It works great. I was not able to stream some things due to the streaming service not the Chromecast.

I love the LAN capability but if you don't have a 4k TV then just get the regular one, it's really expensive so wait for a sale if you can. Also if you don't have a 4k TV this will still work but the resolution will be at 1080

Plugged in, easy set up then stream away. Easy streaming from,, phone, Ipad, and laptop. I one for all three of my TVs. This products works

I bought this for streaming from my computers or phones. The phones do not have any problems with streaming to this device, none of the computers in my house (4 Windows PC and 2 MacBooks) could stream to this device. So I use the older version of Chromecast to work with those computers.

Having trouble using the ethernet connection. WIFI works great.

I love having the ability to cast whatever I am doing or watching on my phone to my TV to share with my friends! I love the products that Google is coming out with!

Works amazing. The only issue is that it does not have its own OS like some other media players. The 4K is truly 4K and it looks beautiful. Works with nearly every streaming service.

I really enjoy this device, it works just like it should. I can use my phone or iPad to control what I am watching, its fun and easy. I have already recommended it to my family and friends.

This product is great. The option I like the most is the built in Ethernet. It is great for 2 reasons: 1) For HD video without wife issues and 2) One less device to bloat your home WiFi.

do i notice the 4k ? no. do i stream 4k ? no. do i only watch anime so theirs no point in buying the 4k model ? yes. would i buy the 4k model again ? yes simply becuse of the ethernet port this model has i have 8 chromecast in my house and the 4k ones are the only ones that dont buffer simply becuse the ehternet connection and thats wort the money to me. im not a hard core picture quality guy i cant tell the diffrence between 4k 2k and 1080 on bright tvs but i do notice how fuzzy the tvs get when buffering witch this device does not do

Great product high quality. Bought for the sole purpose of streaming VR. Worked like a charm set the chrome up in about mins and was ready to cast my VR.

I purchased the google chromecast ultra after talking to a coworker. Its really fun to be able to see whatever you want on the big screen while controlling it from your phone.

It has everything you love (and expect) in a Chromecast, but with the enhanced 4k streaming, it's a no brainer for anyone with a 4K monitor or smart TV.

I love the 4k HD quality of my movies with this chromecast. I highly recommend it. I rarely go out to the movies now that I have 4k quality on my home screen.

So easy to use! No remote or TV interface to bog you down. All you have to do is find a show on your tablet or phone and tap a button. Then beams to your TV for great 4K streaming.

So I have 2 Apple TV's and they both are quirky and one even stopped playing video...just audio. Figured I would give Chromecast a shot...and it was easy to setup and just works...flawlessly.

If you purchase 4K content from the Google Play store the Chromecast Ultra is one of the few devices that will allow you to stream in 4k, otherwise your stuck with HD or SD quality depending on the device.

Ever since I built our networked home-entertainment system, the biggest issue has been the difficulty of accessing the associated apps. Do we use the Smart TV's interface, the streaming apps in our BD player, apps built into our Denon receiver, or??? The Chromecast Ultra provides a unified interface for pretty much all streaming apps, with the exception of Amazon Prime of course (although there's a browser workaround for that). I love how easy it is to use my Android tablet to cast Netflix, Vudu, HBO Go, or other streaming sources to whatever device I'm using. It will be even better when Google Home can access services besides Netflix. Then I'll just use voice commands.

The device is easy to connect and great to use. The only issue I have is that it runs completely off of your phone. There are no apps inside. It uses the apps on your phone. Its literally a screen mirror.
