    On PC, when using chrome browser you can cast any tab on the tv. Useful when streaming free videos.

    We have an older Sony LED television which doesn't let you cast content from the phone or tablet. Adding a Chromecast allowed us to not just cast but also see 4K content. If you are not as interested in 4K content, then the non-4K version also works great. If you have a ARC enabled HDMI port on the TV, then the Chromecast can turn on and turn off the TV with Google Assistant which was an added bonus for us.
