Unfortunately, I had very high hopes for Google Fi especially living in a rural setting. Fair and honest warning before initiating Fi service, it is not what the brochure says. I was led to believe that if I purchased a Fi enabled device with Fi service that I could safely and easily save data via secured Wi-Fi connections at home and while traveling saving me money and optimizing my service. I was also under the impression that the data service for Google Fi enabled devices significantly improves one's connection due to the ingenious ability to ping multiple carriers' towers. It is not clearly delineated that Verizon towers are not included. As for service, I am the only one in a group of people across my county without service 75% of the time or more. Let us not forget the affordability of the service portrayed to future customers buying into the pay as you go and only for what you use with a data jargon. It is the MOST expensive pre-pay service available! The saddest part of all, my husband and I purchased to Google Pixel devices which were not the phone's of our desire costing us $1,500 and have paid twice as much for inadequate service for the past few months too!

Easiest and quickest way to get a new number activated and you get reimbursed for the cost of the sim kit from Google Fi.

I like Google-Fi because it provides great service across the globe and even it fetches the best available network in the area you're reception is. Moreover, Best buy keeps this sim card in stock which is a lifesaver because google fi shipment might be delayed but you have Best buy to get it instantly and also this sim card is free as Google will be adding a $10 credit to your account for the price you have paid for the sim card which is really great. So why would I wait for the google shipment to arrive?. Definitely recommended.

Easy way to set up your new phone with good service. Beware, need wifi to get started and may be unecessary on esim phones.

This Sim is much better than an electronic sim. I had my e-sim get corrupt, the physical sim doesnt have this issue

Google Fi is a frustrating service. It claims that it can switch easily between 3G/4G/LTE and WiFi, but that is just not true in practice. This is really a problem if you are on a phone call when it tries to switch - call is sometimes dropped but usually the quality becomes so bad that you have to call back - then it is fine. Also, sometimes, if you have good LTE signal when you make a call, it instantly switches to 3G while you are on the call. This means no network service, can't use the internet, can't use google maps. I recently had a Pixel 2 go bad and had to buy this sim card to resurrect my old Nexus backup phone. The lesson I learned from this is that the google fi customer service is horrible, even worse if you bought your phone from Best Buy. If I had purchased my phone from the google store, they would have sent the replacement immediately. However, since I purchased it from Best Buy, I had to send my old phone in, they would inspect it, then send out a replacement. This took a total of 9 days. Completely unacceptable. All interactions with Fi customer service took a day for reply and often just repeating the previous emails. I wouldn't recommend this service, but I am stuck with it while my phone is still working.
