Never use Google Fi. The service is not reliable, their customer support is non existant, and the pricing isn't worth it. I would choose another prepared option

Most phones can't take advantage of the features, so it ends up being T-Mobile prepaid with worse pricing.

Easy number transfer, and I had my galaxy S8 on google fi in about 15 minutes. I live in a small town, and the service has been really good so far. Be sure to install the google fi app after inserting the sim card. Very easy and cheap! Enter my referral code for $20 CREDIT 78CF1M

I was a Sprint user and knew it was time to switch, so I bought this card and followed all the prompts. I needed to put down all my Sprint account information on the google fi app, but this made it very easy to switch my phone number. I also got a referral code 4MFFPW to give to my friends for a $20 dollar credit. Very good so far. Total set up time was about 10 minutes.

Love the convenience of being able to go to Best Buy to pick up a Google Fi SIM card rather than waiting on a shipment. Having access to a phone is vital now a days. And while it does cost $10, you get it back in credit on your phone bill.

KEEP YOUR CURRENT CARRIER. NOT WORTH THE SAVINGS

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Pros: - lower cost per month compared to other mobile providers Cons: -Mobile Network - You get what you pay for. It is cheaper, but the network is much worse. Way more dead zones. Even in areas like the middle of the city that you would think would have great service, there will be random dead zones. Overall strength and speed of connection is much worse -PREDATORY POLICIES AND NO CONSIDERATION FOR CUSTOMER 1. They market as an unlimited data plan. However, when you hit a certain data limit, they drop you down into a lower bandwidth. This is common and not surprising at all. The thing that makes Google far worse when it comes to this. Is that their basic tier once you hit the data cap is virtually unusable. Like once I go over my monthly data cap, I can barely even run maps or Spotify or make a phone call in my car. It is that bad. To the point that it is almost dangerous and reckless on their part. 2. BILLING POLICIES: they do not seem to Care at all about the customer experience. They are literally just trying to grab market share and then treat you like garbage. This month, my dog had emergency surgery which cost thousands of dollars and had to be paid immediately. As a result, I was 5 days late on paying my bill. On day four, they suspended my service to where I could receive text messages but not reply to them and I could not connect to their Network at all. So I woke up that day and left the house to drive across town to a place I hadn't been before to meet a new client. And then once I was on the road, I realized that I could not navigate there using Google maps because I had no service. And I could see messages from the client asking where I was and becoming frustrated, but when I tried to reply I just received a notice that my service was suspended. I have never felt so disrespected as a customer with any product. And again, they don't care if there's an emergency or your livelihood depends on it and they don't give you any warning. I switched to them because they gave me a good price on a new pixel phone. They purposefully spread that discount across 24 months and take it out of your bill as a rebate each month. So they know that I am signed up for 2 years and there's nothing I can do about it and they are treating me as such. STAY WITH YOUR CURRENT PROVIDER. IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID
