I haven’t gotten a chance to use this because the phone I was going to use was apparently too old. Wish they would have told you that beforehand. It also can’t be used on a phone that isn’t paid off. Something I already knew, but that they also don’t mention. Just a little frustrated about having to know all these thing. Hopefully one day I can use this and change my review.

The only way (as far as I know) to get a Fi SIM card without waiting for Google shipping is to buy thru Best Buy! A $10 credit is automatically applied to your Fi account upon activation to accommodate the Sim cost. This is the way to activate Fi service! Quick and easy!

I have a major problem with Fi customer service. I had been a Fi customer for years and have liked Fi until recently . A few months ago my phone - bought relatively recently from Fi and very expensive - would not make calls. A search of the internet indicated it was a software problem. I called custom service. They took some info and said they would forward the problem to tech support. Some time later I got an email asking for more data (without instructions on how to get the data). After more back and forth (over a long period) I got the data and sent it along. Then, some time later, I got an email with a request something to try; but, the instructions sent were incorrect. I managed to get the correct procedure from the internet and, unfortunately, the fix did not work. I sent the result and, after the result was sent back to tech support and they replied to the rep, was told the problem was in hardware. This may or may not be true as the same problem is a common (according to the net) and the solution is usually a software fix. So, I asked to speak directly with a knowledgeable person as this back and forth thru 3d parties and email was taking months and, perhaps, we could definitively diagnose the problem. This request was refused. I then cancelled my service. Then I was contacted as to why and, after telling hearing my story, was offered a refund (though they did not say how much) so I relented and bought a new phone from Fi. Then I was told my refund (not really a refund but a credit for future service) was $20. A refund of $20 for hundreds of dollars wasted on a phone and months of paying for nonexistent service was the last straw. Goodbye Fi.

Works fine, I got the $10 credit very shortly after activating service. Very convenient that I can pick it up at a local Bestbuy instead of having to wait for Google to deliver it to me in the mail.

Google fi is meh, customer service is non.existent, their sim cards break all the time, they take weeks to mail you a new one, represenetives are rude, service is spotty, but its cheap because google doesnt pay taxes

GoogleFI is a complete nightmare rto deal with. Do yourself a favor and look up reviewing GFI on Google, you cant. Then look at GoogleFI forums and pay special attention to the fact that the numerous questions trying to find a way to leave a review are idled (like their service) and cannot accept responses. That should tell you all you need to know. If not, look at the one star averages on various review sites. Straight Talk and Verizon have better customer service...legitimately. Its as though they actually try to be amazingly awful. I pray their actual delivery service is infinitely better than their customer service, terms, conditions, and policies.

If you travel this is the service provider for you. being able to use my service outside the states has been a godsend and google support is great if you have any issues. It runs on T-Mobile in the states which in my area is great. If you use a google certified device like a pixel phone then you also get access to Sprint and US Cellular plus Googles VPN service for no additional cost. Not a viable service for people making 90 day trips to the Schengen Region. My data service was suspended mid-trip despite the fact that I'm in the US more than Europe, both in general and prior to this trip specifically. I was able to bridge the gap using HolaFly. I will be canceling Google Fi and replacing it with a combination of Mint Mobile and HolaFly.

Recommend to AVOID Google Fi at all costs! Here I was thinking a high-tech company that touts the ability to use the best tower available to your location should be pretty good. This was by far the absolute worst service ever. I just switched to Verizon and I am telling you, on a scale of 1 - 30, Google Fi would be a 1 and Verizon a 30.

TAKE MY ADVICE AND SEARCH ONLINE FOR "GOOGLE FI NOT RECEIVING CALLS"
We thought we were going to love this however during our 2 months with Google Fi we would constantly not receive calls. I lodged 5 inquiries with google to no resolve, we finally had to cancel as nobody could get in contact with us. When we did cancel, google wanted us to pay for the months we didn't receive service. Just be warned, I even reported them to the BBB and nothing happened. Google is too big, they can just ignore you. If you elect this service keep an eye on your account online as you'll see a difference in your phone's call log and the people trying to call you. We wanted to keep this service so bad.

I took google Fi connection and a S22+ handset from Google. From last 1 year i am struggling with dual calling problem. Numbers get dialled twice. I have been requesting Fi support to fix it or replace handset. Their response has been pretty bad, do not trust customer, asking for handset logs. No resolution form more than 1 year. Never had these issues with T-Mobile and AT&T

To review this item, I can not. I bought this google FI sim card on 05/18/2023 and was expired in August 2022, NO GOOD ! Best Buy needs to update their inventory to 2023 on this item. Have a good one guys.

Did not work with Galaxy S9

Spent almost 6 hours on customer service chat trying to get calls to work with an unlocked Galaxy s9. Only text and data worked.
Customer service kept dumping me to the next representative and was unwilling to provide any insight other than the usually recommendation to restart, clear cache, etc. Support was technically "human" but didnt feel like it. Really bummed out as was looking forward to using Fi.
Probably Ok if you are intending to use this with a Pixel. Would not reccomend with a samsung phone at the time of this review.
