Intention was to get this & use in extra phone or iPad & had problems with it from the start, but really had trouble switching the sim to any different devices. Would recommend MINT MOBILE instead. Much smoother, worked eventually, anyways.

I received an expired sim kit, too. It indicates ‘activate by 10/11/2022’. I contacted Google Fi customer center but they don’t have no idea about the situation at all. The rep told me that they had no promotion with Bestbuy. I will return the sim to a nearby store tomorrow but am worrying if they won’t accept the return.

Misrepresented as advertised, instead of purchasing the card with one month’s of $65 credit, I’m now being double charged because as the service agent claimed they have changed their policy, but haven’t bothered to change their packaging. Originally had a previous SIM card from Google Fi that stopped working and wouldn’t activate, so purchased this new one at the price and still couldn’t activate it, packaging had a 2022 date on it. Contacted customer support initially to get it activated and to ensure I wouldn’t be charged again because they asked to reactivate the account which required another SIM card order. After a week of use, the account billing didn’t update and was being charged another $65 so contacted customer support where I was told that their terms had changed and that returning customers aren’t given the $65 credit that should come with the card when purchased. Customer support provided no assistance in clarifying why their outdated packaging is misrepresenting the terms. So I’m now having to pay $130 for one month’s of service due to misrepresentation of service on this packaging and lack of clarification from the customer service agent when setting up the product.

Don't be misled by this plan. If you're looking for a plan to call home to the US unlimited, this is not the plan for you. You can only call TO OTHER countries not call to the US. So if you're going abroad, calling home to the US it is not part of the unlimited calls instead you get charged. Also you have to set the plan up BEFORE you leave the US because it has to authenticate that you're from the US or it doesn't work.

Bought this to switch from Mint Mobile as it was on sale from the usual $65 a month to $46. The sim would not activate once inserted in my Google Pixel 7 Pro. Tried to figure it out for about 20 mins until i noticed the sim had an expiration date of 10/11/2022. Took it back to best buy to exchange for another sim kit but they didnt have any more in stock. Ended up getting a refund instead. I ended up paying the $65 on the google fi website and it activated with an eSim with no problem. The sim kits in store may all be old kits that dont work, hence the sale pricing. If you purchase a sim kit in store, ask the best buy rep to open the sim kit prior to purchase. That way you can verify the expiration date before you spend your money.

I found it disappointing that just like other services google fi is the same and it’s not unlimited if you’re not in airplane mode and connected to Wi-Fi. You still get extra charges for calling and I also had problems in that the service didn’t work at all overseas until I was connected to wifi even though my use overseas was on. Over all hard to use, seemed very useless in certain countries and hate the extra charges.

There was a discounted offer when I bought the Google fi card. Tried it and service ended up the same as t-mobile wheich I already have.

Having a problem with getting it to work. This isn't user friendly at all. Or I just don't know what I'm doing.

This service is extremely expensive , it works well abroad however , their customer support is like an underground cartel/ you may get connected or not and I subscribed for international service unlimited at $65 per month but at the end of my cycle I had paid over 350 on the service ; so join them knowing the unexpected fees you will pay onwards especially if you use it out of the US.

Used to be great. BUT They DON'T do international calling anymore.

I have used this in London, Iceland, Spain, Japan, and Portugal and have always had a good experience. Service isn’t 5G but 4G LTE is more than enough. This will be my go to for as long as they provide it.

Absolutely Love Google Fi . You can tether ur data or use ur Hotspot. The speed stays consistently fast. And Google lets you share your data with up to 8 devices. Free sim card for those devices.

If you plan to get Fi, just get the sim ordered directly from Google. I thought it would be easy to get it at best buy and get it activated on a Pixel phone. Nope. As soon as I opened the card, it showed an "activate by" date in the past. I followed through the process, and unfortunately Google charged me $65 in addition to the $65 i paid at bestbuy.

Great deal as half the cost then what it usually is.

Only simcard works, Google FI doesnt honor the 1 month service so they end up charging you for it

The way to go for international travel. I purchased this the first time visiting the EU. Was key translating on the fly with the unlimited data! Purchased a month for my daughter while she visits Mexico with mom. I feel it is worth the money to stay in touch with her and she has unlimited tether (50gb) for the month!
