If you already have a different streaming player, this is similar. I have many, but like to have a variety...Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku. This works well, it can also play games. Highly recommended if you don't have anything to stream with now.

Device is very fast and remote is vey easy to use . Just wonder why mini usb when it does not recognize usb devices.

We have used this device to almost replace our cable service. Makes it easy for anyone to access Netflix, Hulu, etc. since it comes with a remote and does not require a phone link like the Chromecast (which we also have, on a lesser used TV).

Biggest reason I bought this was because with the controller some of the games are fun. Please note I got a very good deal on this item on sale. I would recommend to also pickup the controller. Works well with Netflix and Google Play.

This console does all that I need to have an smart tv plus allow me to use Kodi app that it is a most to have.

Bought this when it was on sale for $50. Works well but the micro-USB port in the back is too close to the HDMI, really had to force the cables in there.

This is a great unit but they need more apps . Casting works well and the interface is a leap above the Google TV ... I plan on getting another for the bedroom

It is powered by Android and you can virtually install any android app which is so cool. Overall form factor and user experience is very good.

If you are looking to cut the cord this may be your solution. Like all Nexus products you are always guaranteed the latest version of Android. Fast enough (but processor could be faster) and 8GB of storage is just fine for me.

I purchased this just to run kodi on after 15 minutes had it up and running. The kids found out it's a got a few games to boot. Well worth the money.

Chromecast functionality saves the streamer from a lack of Android TV apps. Easy to side load regular Android apps which also helps. Overall decent.

This is a great alternative to cable and satellite TV. This devise also provides more programing and possibilities than Apple TV at a lower cost.

Nice contraption but a little clunky. If someone has no tech savvy abilities it would be a nightmare. No instructions on how to do anything....

For what I paid for the unit $50 when it was on sale, it is a better deal than a chromecast unit. You can cast to this as well and it has the ability to load apps it as well. Too bad best buy stopped carrying it.

Awesome device, especially when you can find it on sale. It does everything a Chromecast does, plus runs its own apps and comes with a remote. I own this and the Shield Android TV and enjoy them both quite a bit.

Amazing little device out of the box but you can easily install Kodi and make it a media center. I highly recommend a ethernet to mini USB adapter as well. If it had that built it it would be 6 stars out of 5. :)
