Updates old TV, spotty video playback
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using this to update an older Sony tv that I wasn't ready to part with. I love Android TV. It's on a newer Sony 65" 900C that I have. It's on near my ASUS router. The video playback on the Netflix app and YouTube app is not smooth. It updated the latest version Android (5.1), but I still have the same results. I really like it, so I'll keep working on trying to solve the video playback issue. Please reply if you know of a fix for this. Thanks!

Hardware OK, subpar remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially bought this to use with Plex and Kodi which are both available in the Google Play store unlike Amazon and iOS which only have Plex. When using Kodi, there is no button to simulate the right click (on a PC) though there are ways around this. Also, the remote is much flimsier feeling as compared to an Amazon Fire TV which has a much more solid feel.

Not the device for my family

Did not find it as "speedy" as I would have thought and family did not like the remote. As an experiment, bought a Roku stick and family liked that much better. Nicer UI, and nicer remote. Price was better too.. Roku stick was just a better fit for my family.

Excellent streaming device

Good but not if you have Xfinity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you have Fios, Directv, or anything else other than Xfinity, this would be a great box for you but don't bother if you have Xfinity. You can't log in to any of the TV apps like HBO Go, Fox Now, Food Channel, etc. Before you get this, just go to the activation pages to see if it is really compatible with the device (hbogo.com/activate, etc.)

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This bad boy is so responsive, with the Google play store you can get anything you're used to getting on your android smartphone but on the big screen...my favorite part is the remote, yeah I know, it only has four buttons but you can have this thing under your pillow facing the opposite way of the device and it still controls this thing, no pointing at the device to select things, love it...

Loving the convenience
