Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the excellent camera quality and the ease of use as major pros. The sleek design and light weight also receive positive feedback, while the large screen is appreciated by some. However, many users cite short battery life as a significant drawback, along with the lack of expandable storage.

    Aweful

Had it for 2 weeks and brought it back. Kept force closing on me and wouldn't let me send picture messages to anyone. Samsung customer service gave me the run around and told me it was a carrier problem even though I had told them I already spoke to TMOBILE. I then had to call TMobile and they tried everything they could and stayed on the phone with me for 45 min trying to research any problemseven though it is not a TMobile supported phone. I now have the My Touch 4G and I absolutely love it!

    Very disappointing coming from Google

I'll make this simple. This phone is almost a year old already and it's being sold as if it's the latest and greatest. This is IN FACT a Samsung Galaxy S - Captivate - etc etc etc. The only difference is the shape. Don't get this phone. There are far better phones - including ones from Samsung - on the way in the coming months. I will say, if it is your selling point, having the "Google phone" means that updates and latest firmwares will be on this phone before any other. Phones to wait for: Sony Xperia Arc Motorola Atrix Dell Streak 2 aka "Venue" Samsung Infuse HTC Thunderbolt (current rumored name)

    All Hype, Not Recommended

Upfront let me tell you my cell phone history. I've used iPhone 2G, iPhone 4, Moto XT720 (android), Moto Droid, and HTC Hero. And of course this Nexus S. The Nexus S is over-hyped and doesn't live up to the hype. Yeah sure, it's got 2.3 on board, but so what. The differences between 2.2 and 2.3 are so minuscule you won't notice. NFC is pointless right now on cell phones, although in the future I'm sure it won't be. Someone has to pioneer it I suppose. The main reason I don't like this phone is because it feels extremely cheap and vulnerable in your hand. I felt like if I dropped it (on carpet!) it would break. The back of the phone is NOT scratch resistant either, that's for sure. It's absolutely a fingerprint magnet also. It claims it has a fingerprint-resistant surface - yeah right. I'm used to iPhone screens that actually are fingerprint-resistant, and this screen wasn't even close in comparison. To be clear, I prefer Android over iOS. It's more customizable. But, I do not recommend this phone at all. It feels cheap, and right now, there is no reason Gingerbread beats Froyo. Stick with a sturdy, well-built phone running 2.2 version of Android right now, and wait for a better 2.3 phone to come out.

    Do NOT buy this phone

I have been plagued by issues from this phone and they haven't fixed the glitches. I bought this phone in DEC from best buy. My experience with T-Mobile has been outstanding. This phone started out great. It had everything I ever wanted. And then the glitches started. Sometimes once or twice turned into multiple times this phone turns into an epileptic. I have sat on google's boards talking about the glitches and it's unacceptable. After the 2.3.4 update my phone is unusable. It is awful. The home button keeps phantom pressing and I am going to take it back to best buy and have to upload all of my data again. Very unhappy, as of right now it's vibrating off my desk and I can't send text messages to anyone of even make a phone call.

Google and Samsung denies to agree. I have myself switched 4 handsets and all 4 have rebooted. Staw away from this phone. Its a waste of time and money.

Since android version 2.3.3 these phones has issue with colors on superAmoled displays. It's all washed out, dull and has a yellowish tint. Just google and find the issue for yourself. Google doesn't care enough to fix this after a upgrade as well. Do yourself a favor and buy some other phone. I bought mine here, a Nexus S I9020T model.
