Phenomenal Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This being the first smart phone I've owned I find it difficult to compare with other phones out there. Other than the fact that it runs faster and smoother than my friend's phones, syncs more intuitively to my google account, and allows me better control over what I can and cannot delete off of my phone. The complaints that I hear from others about their smart phones I simply don't seem to run into with the Nexus S.

Great amalgam of the PDA, Phone, and Tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my Nexus S phone for over a month now, and I couldn't be happier. This device replaces a PDA and a Phone, and works as a rudimentary Tablet for me. Further, the PDA functionality is much, much better with this instrument than previous PDAs I've owned, mainly due to the ability to synchronize my personal PIM data and my corporate PIM data via separate feeds with a single interface to access and no crossover of data. PLEASE NOTE: the implementation of ActiveSync (which provides the corporate account data sync) allows the corporate security administrator to specify a basic level of security on the device. You lose the ability to select certain security options on the phone while you maintain the sync relationship with the ActiveSync server associated with the account. For me, this is an understandable and allowable trade off. I give up a little bit of the options on the phone for the extremely useful ability to synchronize business contact, calendar, and email information. I've tried other tablet-like devices (an eReader specifically), but this device allows me to carry and use a single unit and access functionality usually left to separate devices. I've even started purchasing and reading eBooks because I purchased this device. I had a week or so of issues concerning reliable connection to the mobile carrier's network. As I had purchase the unlocked phone, I changed from AT&T (after over 5 years as a customer) to T-Mobile, which improved the data rate greatly. I do not necessarily recommend either carrier. Your access to the carrier's network will vary depending upon geography, so your experience with signal strength may differ from mine. About the carrier network--If you absolutely MUST have the lastest and greatest technology on the lastest and (possibly) fastest network, then do not buy this phone. You only get 3G technology. I am happy with the 3G speeds because I don't use a lot of data (as compared to some wireless network users).

Nexus S i9020T with ICS 4.0.3
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got my Nexus S i9020T. It came with Gingerbread but, I was able to login to Google account with existing T-Mobile number and WiFi, to update to Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 as basically the first activity on the phone. I updated my i9020T after starting WiFi. So, I hope i9020A WiFi connection makes the mobile networks a non-issue. I hope this helps others. However, Sprint Nexus S 4G phones have not gotten ICS updates as of today, Jan. 6, 2012. I expect Sprint Nexus S 4G phones will have the update in the near future? After three days, I am not seeing any issues, except interface has moved things around from Gingerbread but, I would say mostly for the better. Love, Ice Cream Sandwich! I had Gingerbread on a Nexus One (T-Mobile) before updating phones to Nexus S i9020T. My understanding is that the i9020A is for some North & South Americas 3G networks like AT&T & Rogers in Canada. The i9020T is listed as general (GSM) phone for Samsung but, I think both work to make GSM phone calls. Only issues are with 3G networks between i9020A & i9020T, plus i9023 with Super LCD is same as i9020T minus Super AMOLED. If you are in a position for the Bestbuy i9020T (T-Mobile) or i9020A (AT&T) free phone this is a no brainer buy.

Best Smartphone / Android on the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this is the best smartphone / Android on the market at this time. I like the updates are controlled by Google and not a cell phone provider Battery life is not as good as I would like it. It takes some work to control which application drain the battery. But there are good apps around for this The tethering function is excellent --

Nice Phone, Could Be Better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, the Nexus S is nice. There are a few things here and there that could be improved on such as the battery life and the antenna (no 4G capabilities, etc). I urge anyone thinking of buying this phone to check the 3G coverage of whatever carrier you plan to go with and make sure it blankets your area. Android OS is awesome and gets better and better with each iteration.

iPhone's better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's like Linux comparing to MacOS your Nexus S to iPhone. Stock phone app sucks, no timer, battery's OK but you would expect it to live a bit longer. Everything seemed to work but the overal experience makes you fill you are foolled because small things are not on their places, or just not there at all. And the quality is those small things, right? One feature though is killing iPhone home screen - widgets. Those are nice and could be very informative.

Excellent SmartPhone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these and they do so many things its crazy! It contains Android 2.3 in its purest form without any of the modifications that other manufacturers put on those other phones. If you are looking for the best Android experience, always choose a "Nexus" based phone. This is #2 in the line up. looking forward to the third Nexus phone.

Top-notch smartphone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it - Google Voice preinstalled; supports SIP calling; everything runs quite fast. Android is probably the best OS for dvorak typists, but I still feel pretty neglected :/ I haven't had a chance to use the mobile hotspot or tethering, but I'm glad it's supported! My only complaints are that it's not cheap, and the battery won't last a full day of heavy use (but that's a smartphone for you).

Okay for the resourceful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone because I expected the operating system to be updated from Gingerbread (2.3) to Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). That did happen over-the-air within 2 weeks of my purchase in early Jan. 2012. Be prepared to be resourceful if you need support, even including simple things like an owner's manual for the hardware and operating system. Best Buy can't support this phone. Neither can my wireless carrier, T-Mobile, because they have never sold it. I have gotten what I've neded from Google because I have a Google Apps for Business and that gives me access to Goolge's Enterprise Support. I also got some help from the manufacturer, Samsung.

Slim & Sleek design!! Very Poor quality headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best thing : Mobile is very slim and weighless but got tons of features..Overall great product..Compared to other model it got good Resolution 800X480 for 4" display..Still not close to Iphone which comes with 900X600 for 3.5".. WORST THING:VERYYYYYYYYYY POOR QUality Headset..A product sold for 550$ comes with cheapest headset...Checkout V-MODA in ear buds..and come out with design something like that...

Good phone, terrible battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good phone for all of it's features but it's battery life is terrible. Also, you can purchased it unlocked but be aware that if you have an AT&T SIM card, this phone does not support AT&T 3G, only T-Mobile 3G.

Solid. A fan.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have dropped it numerous times. I have run way too many apps at once. I am a heavy Google platform user. It has only hung once in a month of continuous use. Turned on/off, all set. I am a big fan. Only wished the battery life` were a touch longer.

Great phone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from a G1 to the Nexus S. It's fast and does what I need it for. My only real problem with the phone is a lack of a notification light. It just makes me check the phone more often to see if I have a message. I would recommend this phone.
