Customers are saying

Customers regard the Pixel 3 XL 64GB highly for its camera quality, ease of use, and smooth software performance. Many appreciate the screen size and battery life, while some find the lack of a headphone jack and the notch design undesirable. Great phone, poor company

The phone is ok. It works fine, but nothing special. The reason I am rating it so poorly is Google. They are a very poor company with horrible customer service. I also get tons of spam directly from them to my phone which is obnoxious. I recommend looking elsewhere.

    First Google Phone

I have always had Samsung Galaxy phones the last several years, so this is my first google phone. I am impressed! I like Samsung, but when I was reading reviews and researching the Pixel 3XL, I decided to make a change and I am happy I did. There wasn't a huge or specific reason why, Samsung flagship phones have always worked great for me, but I guess if I had to pick out an exact reason, I would say there were 3. First, the camera is better. Sure, not significantly better than most people would realize, but if this is going to be my main phone, why not get something that is technically better...even by just a little margin. Second, the android experience. I have always like Android better than iOS and definitely better than WIndows (when they were relevant in the phone industry), so I wanted to try the 100% android experience without having all the manufacture extras. I only used...maybe...very few of Samsung's apps, so why not get a phone that doesn't have all the extra apps I rarely use. Lastly, it kind of goes with the second reason, and that is the lack of bloatware. I had a 64GB Galaxy and was using about 40GB of space when I got the pixel (64GB is more than enough for me)... the majority were pics and videos and apps I installed, but I would say a good portion of it was also the Samsung apps that are preloaded, which I barely used, if at all. So, when I transferred everything to my new Pixel (apps, photos, texts, videos, and other data)....I'm only using about 22GB of storage!!! I will cut that down even more when I transfer about over 1000 pictures and dozens of videos to the unlimited google cloud photo storage from my Pixel itself, freeing up even more space. My point is, without all that extra bloatware, I will have even more GB space to use with the same 64GB capacity. Overall, I am satisfied. Unless something unexpected or unforeseen happens, I think I might now be a Google phone person for life! Only time will tell!

Phone is hard to hear, does things on its own, doesn't respond to items touched- not happy at all. I have pixel previously and it worked fine, this one not so much

    Best Pixel Every

Upgraded from the Pixel XL and it has been by far the best phone I've ever used. It's super fast and can last 1.5 days of normal use without needing a charge. The screen is huge and super clear. The camera quality on the Pixel 3 is so much better than any other phone out there.

    Love this phone!

I just love this phone. I've had it now for about 2 weeks and it is so much better than my old Samsungs! Fast, simple design makes it easy to navigate, and, of course, it couldn't be easier to use all my Google apps. The Google Assistant is awesome as well. All I ever want is a phone that I can use to quickly and effortlesslessly access my emails, internet for online shopping, Google Doc for work, and take stunning pictures. This phone does all that and more without overkill with features and 3rd party apps I don't want or need. I can't rave enough about this phone and the really amazing user experience it provides. Google makes life easier with its new Pixel 3.

Great screen (google fixed it from last year's model), camera is the best in the business right now, and extremely quick. If you want an Android phone this is the best you can get. It's only small upgrades from the PIxel 2 XL so if you have that I wouldn't upgrade to this, but if you want the best alternative to Iphone this is it.

Great phone - forget the notch talk

I've been using the pixel 2 XL for the last 5 days today, I switched to the pixel 3XL, because if the great Black Friday deal. Forget about the notch talk! This phone still has more screen room, I like how the time and the little icons are on each side of the notch. The wide angle portrait group selfie is incredible! The 3XL is faster and the screen is brighter and sharper. Using default text / font settings I use reading glasses sometimes and I don't use them all with this 3XL. It's faster running android 9 pie. I hope this helps.

Finally just upgraded. Only issue I ever had with this phone was the ugly forehead. Otherwise, back fingerprint sensor was the best. Wish the newer ones were as good.

    Great phone, some shortcomings

    Posted .

Firstly, the phone is amazing at what it does, it has a great bright screen, the phone is really snappy when it comes to browsing and has one of the best cameras ive ever seen on a phone. The speakers are okay, nothing amazing but still very usable. Ive seen people complain about the notch on top on the screen, for me it kinda just vanishes after a while. The only con i have for this phone is that sometimes, it can slow down, Google has sorta fixed this with a security update but i will u[date this as they correct it.

This is the first phone that I've owned that wasn't a flagship Samsung or Apple phone - and it's by far the BEST phone I've ever owned. Pure Google Android experience - no bloat. Screen is gorgeous and battery lasts ALL DAY.

    What a camera!

I mean the phone is great and all but it's the camera that's just amazing. Night sight is magic and photos in general are just too good. I have not taken out the DSLR for last 2 months, I blame pixel 3 :) Phone itself is great too with clean UI, useful Hey Google and fast. It restarts so fast! wireless charging is slow though, probably only negative.

    Amazing Phone

This is the best phone I have ever had. The camera is amazing and very clear quality. There is also the night sight, which works wonders. This phone gets all updates immediately because it is by Google. The finger print scanner is in the most convenient spot and makes unlocking it easy. The Google Assistant is the best. I am able to have it answer calls for me if I don't know the number and it also can call restaurants and make reservations for you. Google is always updating and making things better and better with this phone, so you can expect new features in the future. Overall, I will never switch to another phone besides Google. I recommend going to Best Buy for the phone because they set it all up for me and were extremely helpful. Also, they are great at answering any additional questions.

Clean Android OS / hardware is weak

I have been in the wirless telecon industry 20+ years. I am not an apple fan. I appreciate the freedom of Android OS. I have had my Pixel 3 XL less than 2 weeks. There are two cracks in my screen somehow. They don't start at the edge and spider out...they are in the center of the screen. I don't crack my screens...ever. I still have a Nexus 6P I use in my vehicle that has zero cracks. I am happy with the camera and the software. Disappointed that a $1000 phone is made so cheaply.
