    Best Phone Of 2018

Didn't even look twice at the newest iPhone and Samsung models when this baby got announced. Google is keeping the competition in check with their extremely competitive pricing!

    Ok phone

This phone is ok. Coming off an iPhone 6, but have had and used Samsung's, HTCs as well. Phone works ok, but sometimes apps don't open properly, and the finger ID on back is a little more of an inconvenience I think then apples placement. But not a big deal. My biggest gripe is the battery life. If you play just a few games or watch any video, the battery goes super quick. iPhone 6 would last all day doing same usage but this one I have to charge by evening. Charges quick but maybe because battery is so small. But if I recall Samsung's battery on the 8 edge was about the same.

    Worst phone ever

Google will not help. I bought pixel 3 XL the day it came out. I love Google and have always bought and promoted their phones. I also bought the Google phone case. A few weeks ago, the phone would not turn on so I brought it to Verizon and they took it out of case to reveal the back glass was cracked and therefore out of warranty. Verizon was able to get it turned back on though. The camera worked fine until yesterday when I went to take a picture of my son and saw it would not focus. I contacted Google and went through all their trouble shooting steps. They admitted it is the camera hardware but they refused to fix or replace it until I paid to have the glass back fixed even though it has nothing to do with the fact the camera won't focus. They lost a loyal customer today. I have never liked Apple but it is obvious to me now why Apple is way ahead of Google in regards to hardware.

    Pixel 3xl not worth it

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

To be frank, this is one of my worst purchases. Here are a few reasons specially for the price of this device: 1. Thousands of pictures got deleted from my phone. They are nowhere to be found. Not even on photos. It turns out a lot of people have had the same issue. 2. This phone lags a lot. 3. User interface sucks 4. Lack of customization options I would have been fine with points 3 and 4 because I can still download stuff that can help improve the user interface. 2 is just sad for this price and because of 2 I wouldn't recommend this device to my friends. But 1 is absolutely not acceptable. After 1, I have lost all faith on google. I wont be making a google purchase any time soon. I say google because that was one of the selling points for me. Pixel 3XL was a complete disaster for me.

    Known Bluetooth Issues

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

There is a known issue that Google can not and will not fix where it has problems connecting with Car bluetooth systems. You can seach for it online. This is a really dumb problem to have considering there is no audio jack. Best buys return policy is only 14 days on these. The issue is one where you won't notice within that period generally depending on the amount of use you use via your car (and other bluetooth devices). So now we are stuck with a phone and payment for the next 2 years for a product that has issues with one of the main hardware features. Thank you Google. Thank you Best Buy. Never again will I purchase a google brand phone or any item from Best Buy.

Slow/Laggy phone with an awesome camera

This phone canNOT compete with other phones in the $1000 range in terms of speed, functionality, performance or even aesthetics. It has a comparable camera to that of the iPhones and Samsung phones. I am extremely disappointed in the hardware AND software quality of the Pixel. It's a device I would happily purchase at a $500-600 price point, but at $1000... I'll go with a Samsung. The only reason I went with a Pixel was because it was supposed to have software updates that makes it as fluid as an iPhone, but no... my phone is just getting slower and slower and I haven't even had it for a year yet. Sorely disappointed.

    WARNING

DO NOT BUY THE VERIZON Pixel 3. Buy the Unlocked or the Google fi version. They both will work with Verizon and any other supported carrier BUT the VERIZON Pixel 3 Has hardware left out of the phone! Mainly eSIM. The huge plus with the Pixel 3 is that you don't need a SIM card to use the phone on many different carriers. Well the Verizon Pixel doesn't have an eSIM! WHY??? I just bought a Pixel that isn't really a Pixel phone because it's missing features that make it a Pixel device. So incredibly frustrating. DO NOT BUY THE VERIZON PIXEL.

    Bad screen and single camera

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

900$+tax for a 420nits screen? 900$+tax for a single camera ? There is a new breed of fanboys, Google AI ones, that think Google algorithms can replace the zoom lens even though the main sensor is the very same one as in other flsgships. The choice is simple - LG V40 for that money, or OP6 for much less. What people don't understand is that Pixel 3 team DOES NOT need to sell good what they make in order to keep their jobs. They are not the people who can invent. They are in the same league as Chrysler for example.

I switched from iphone 8 to Pixel because i love my google assistant but at the end of the day its still android. I thought it was going to be different because its from google and it is a better version of android but its still glitchy. My alarm doesnt go off randomly, I dont get certain notifications, just random glitchyness. When youre used to iphone working he same way every time it just doesnt match up. At the end of the day its not dependable.

Great phone unless defective & claim warranty

Phone is great but after 2 months will only charge with Wireless Pixel Stand. Google says return to retailer, Best Buy tells me to contact Google. They only option with Google if not purchased from them (for a lot more $$) is to be without your phone for 10-15 days. POOR warranty procedure.

Overheats, random side notch, headset issues

Overheats on Google charger, top notch randomly appears side of screen, Google headphones not recognized plugged in need reboot. Hyped up camera stops closes randomly. I think iPhone takes better pictures. Google customer support is horrible. Would not recommend.

    This Pixel is SIM LOCKED

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This phone is SIM locked to Verizon even if you buy from Best Buy, and even if you pay the full price and don't want the BOGO promotion. This is not what the Pixel brand is about and as the most important feature to me, I cannot rate this higher. The only unlocked version is from Google store.

    Bricks inside of 40 days

Great phone, turns into a useless brick about 40 days in. Verizon offers a pre-broken used pile as a replacement. Google Pixel 3 shuts down...then run away from it as fast as you can...otherwise, you'll be paying new money for a used piece of crap.
