I've had my Google Pixel 4xl since October, and I have loved Everything about it. The photo quality is beyond what I had anticipated. I bought this phone for the purpose of taking on a trip to the Galapagos islands and Machu Picchu and wanted to use the phone as my main camera, rather than carrying a larger 35mm digital camera. The quick gesture features are a bonus. I really enjoy this phone.

The phone and its functioning is not bad. Camera, like most Pixels, is amazing! The "Screen Call" feature on google phones is an awesome feature!! My only beef with this phone is the facial recognition and lack of finger print scanner. The facial recognition is very sensitive and if there are any smudges on the top of the screen it will not work. Sometimes it unlocks your phone when you don't want it to, such as when you are just checking the time/notifications on lock screen. These are very minimal problems and could be described as #FirstWorldProblems. My only quarrel with this phone when I was looking at devices was the lack of finger print scanner. I was Brett Favre in my BestBuy trying to decide between staying with Google Pixel (I had google pixel 2 xl and loved it) or going back to Samsung (which I also loved the samsung I had). The motion gesture is convenient but it will pause my music when reaching for my phone and not trying to pause it. Overall phone is average, camera is AMAZING, and many features are very nice. Google is getting there with their phones but the lack of fingerprint scanner was a major downfall for me personally.

      Hi Tony,

We really appreciate your feedback, and we are sorry to hear that you are having issues with face unlock.

We try to upgrade our features with new updates to ensure security and functionality are always at peak performance. If your phone continues to have issues unlocking, please consider these suggestions:

      - Hold your phone vertically, directly in front of your face, about 20 cm away.
      - Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the top of your screen.
      - Turn off your phone, then back on.
      - If you wear accessories, like a mask or dark sunglasses, take them off.
      - If you’re in bright, direct sunlight, move to the shade.
      - If your phone has a screen protector, remove it. Your screen protector shouldn’t block your phone’s infrared cameras. Learn where the IR cameras are.
      - If you change your appearance, delete your face data and set up face unlock again.

We recommend contacting our 1:1 support (From your phone click on Settings > Tips & support > Contact us) if you continue to experience any face unlock issues. googlepixel

The Google 4 XL is a really good phone. The facial recognition and the wave motion to change is the screen is really cool. Overall, if you already have an older Pixel, you will have no problem using this phone. ..And the camera with the night sight is outstanding. ..and yes, it has slow motion too. Just a really good value

I know online reviews have been mixed but I like mine so far. One drawback is that many apps don't have face unlock so I've had to use my passwords alot more. The phone has a great camera. I like having a Google phone so all my Google accounts are native to my phone unlike when I had an iPhone. Solid phone.

Google did it again, extremely happy with this phone. Performance is good, apps open quickly, can multitask well with a bunch of different apps open. Went with the XL because of the better screen resolution (more dpi in addition to screen size). The white is nice looking even though I covered it with a case. Wish the price was cheaper this year over last year's black Friday pixel 3 XL.

i bought this during black friday and the bestbuy verizon integration had some wonky problems but the phone itself is good but battery can be better and the soli radar gesture is pretty much useless and changes your songs accidentally and doesn't really do it when you want it to and just turn it off to save battery

Not at all sure why I've read a few negative reviews about this great phone. It's not perfect, but there isn't a perfect phone out there. I had the Pixel XL first generation and was happy to replace it with the Pixel XL 4. Camera is the best out there. Try it and I'm certain you'll like it.

Came from the Pixel 2 XL, it was a great phone to me. I weighed heavily on the pixel 4 vs note 10. Pixel missed the mark on quite a few features, battery life being my main complaint, but 2 weeks in now, and battery is much improved over the pixel 2 that was 2 years old.

No issues with this to date. It does feel somewhat heavier than my old phone. The camera is great and the screen is very reactive even with a screen protector. It has good battery life; easily making it through the whole day with moderate use including video chat.

Amazing phone, especially if you get it on sale! Beautiful 90hz display makes everything look super smooth, great Google integration, and incredible camera. I was wary of leaving Samsung but the pure Android experience really is that great, you won't regret it!

I love the stock Android experience on this phone. No it doesn't have the infinity screen of the Samsung's but it has a higher pixel density and it's beautiful. Plus minimal bloat. Really glad I have this phone a try. Not to mention $400 off, that's a steal

My husband didn’t want a new phone but his original Google Pixel was on its last leg. It was the only phone that never gave him problems until recently (it’s 3y old I think). He has been very happy with the new Google Pixel so far. Battery life is good and it works as well as the old one, and the camera is excellent.

I held out for four years because I was completely satisfied with my original pixel. The battery was fading, so I decided to step up. I am now happy I chose to stick with the pixel line. The 4xl is awesome. Battery is great, camera is great, and I still love it more than my wife's iphone.

Coming from an old outdated Samsung Galaxy Edge 7, this phone is a breath of fresh air. Not only is the system much faster with the improved refresh rate, it is also very "clean" - no bloatware software installed by Galaxy. The Pixel interface is also very intuitive and clean. Love my new Pixel!

I'm a HUGE Google fan and all the reviewers hate on this phone and it almost pushed me to a note 10+. I decided to head to best buy and try both. The pixel just works great. I don't play games on my phone so I cannot speak on that.
