I got this phone for a socially active elderly parent. They really appreciate the just grab and go android experience. (Vanilla) And hace quickly gotten used to the new swipe gesture feature.

I've loved the Pixel line since the original. This one is a decent update, but I feel like it's a little over priced. Camera is great as usual, battery life is decent, and I really love the 90hz screen.

The Pixel 4 XL is an excellent phone. The OS is solid and is guaranteed to receive updates for 3 years. The best feature is the camera that works amazingly in low light/night.

Very solid. Good upgrade from the 3xl. I thought I would miss the fingerprint sensor but the facial recognition is very convenient. Beautiful display.

Ok so let's start this if by saying this is a major disappointment. I love the camera but there are some things they could have done so much better. First the screen brightness could be way better, in sunlight is impossible to see your screen. Second the battery life is trash. I can get through a entire day without thrown it on a charger. Third too many issues with the software. I welcome the new version of Android but this seems to be way too buggy than it should be. Don't get me wrong it's still my daily driver but I'm just a bit disappointed. Camera still rocks though.

This was the 1st year in my history of buying phones I almost made the switch from Google to Apple. But my ecosystem is all Android and just couldn't bring myself to do it. I've had every Pixel (XL, 2XL, 3XL and now 4XL) along with most Nexus devices before them and while I love the "raw" android feel and freedom of bloatware and software overlays from the likes of Samsung there are always a couple trade offs in tech or ease of use. Typically I find it worth it and worth the upgrade. This is the 1st new phone that I'm bummed I bought so early. There is no noticeable difference from my 3XL and until the facial biometric sign on works with more apps/logins I actually feel like I have an older phone having to type in my passwords everytime I use various apps vs a simple fingerprint. The screen is great, unless you are in a brightly lit room or in the sunshine then it's unusable, especially if you're wearing polarized sunglasses. Won't be returning, not quite stocked, just somewhere in the middle feeling sad that I paid $1000+ for pretty much what I already had.

I replaced an HTC 10 with the Google Pixel 4XL and am pretty happy with the phone, but the battery life is the only thing keeping me from rating it a 5 out ot 5 stars.
