Bad out of the box

The phone never activated automatically. The phone then went into BIOS mode and locked up. I returned it for a Samsung S20+

Perfect upgrade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my P4XL. Came orginally from a P2 and I plan on sticking with the "even" numbered Pixels. Got this phone right before the arrival of my son and this has been our main shooter for family photos. The setup couldn't be easier either when transferring from my old phone. Face unlock works pretty well, however it took a couple tries to get it just right. When its in my car windshield mount, it does try to unlock when driving however. The biggest bummer for the P4XL is that Google is no longer allowing full resolution Google Photos backup like I had on my P2. I opted for the $3 per month for 200GB of Google cloud storage.

Great phone, switched from iphone

I got my google pixel 4 XL on launch day and so far everything is great! I don't miss my iphone at all. The battery life is fantastic, the user interface is amazing and not hard to learn and just overall very good phone.

Less reliable than predecessor

Loved my Pixel 3 XL, very reliable, and never had any issues. The Pixel 4 XL seems unfinished and not as stable. I lose connection often, in areas that never had issues before, with the same carrier. It restarts randomly when I plug in the charger, and doesn't connect very well to the Pixel stand. The battery life seems worse as well, after messing with the settings and battery saver, can still barely get a day out of this phone. Overall, wish I didn't trade in my Pixel 3 for this phone.
