Customers frequently mention the excellent camera quality and long battery life as major pros of the Pixel 4G LTE phone. The ease of use and screen size also receive positive feedback. However, some users express concerns about the limited storage capacity and lack of water resistance and wireless charging capabilities. A few also comment on the fingerprint reader placement.

This has been a great Phone. Took a few days to get used to it after using a galaxy for 2 years(happens with most/any new phone) the finger print reader on the back is awesome! Makes it super easy for me to unlock my phone. Great camera. Good battery life. All the Google features are nice as well! I highly recommend this phone!

I think Google has this overpriced at the full-retail price, but if you can get it at a good discount, then I'd recommend. It has a fantastic camera, the fingerprint sensor is smartly placed in the rear so you can unlock while holding it (and use the sensor to swipe for notifications), the battery life is sufficient, the screen is bright enough for sunlight use, and it comes with UNLIMITED free full-size photo/video backup at Google.
What I don't like: there are bugs. Initially, bluetooth pairing that had an obtuse workaround for my car. Not sure if that's been subsequently fixed. Ongoing, it doesn't recognize the included OEM charger some times and requires a restart. Super annoying and very basic.
32 Gb is VERY limiting, particularly with such a great camera.

PROS:
Very accurate, fast fingerprint scanner
GREAT camera!
Beautiful screen
FAST -- scrolling, apps, waking, everything is fast
Pure Android with no BS
Strong battery -- far better than my Galaxy S6
CONS:
The lack of a physical home button is a bummer -- can't easily unlock while it's laying on a desk or something. Have to awkwardly push side button or pick it up.
It's frozen on me and required restarts a couple times -- both while using FB Messenger
On the whole, this is the best phone I've ever used, and I've been through a LOT of Androids

Google's phone is truly something which android fans would have been waiting for a long time. This probably the first phone which I felt no need to hack to get what I want.
The phone is speedy with almost no lag. Software updates are quick (even on verizon). The phone holds a signal even in places where my previous phone didnt.
Camera is amazing, my wife has a Iphone 7 and she still says my phone's pics look better, especially in low light. The camera is fast and can focus and snap a picture in seconds.
In all very satisfied with the purchase.
Only -ve is it does not have wireless charging and stereo sound.

Great phone. No problems or unusual symptoms that inhibit ease of use. I will say I made the leap from iOS to Android with this purchase. If you're not technically savvy, don't worry, it's not a terribly difficult transition but you will spend a good amount of time figuring out the differences with how the Android operates and you will sacrifice some familiar comforts with the iOS that don't exist without some finagling in the settings or finding a replacement app. IE iMessage and FaceTime. There's alternatives to those. Furthermore, the Pixel makes it very easy to transfer your data from iPhone to Pixel. Contacts, notes, music, etc.
The iPhone is very user friendly and it's designed on purpose that way so even a toddler can operate one. The Android on the other hand has some level of sophistication that requires you to put a little effort into using your phone. If you like the milk and cookies approach to phones, stick with iPhone.
The Pixel has a large screen, very responsive touch, good volume and a slim design. It charges quickly and holds it all day. Physically, I love this phone above others including Galaxy Edge. The phone tries to channel you into using a Gmail account and tries to link everything you do to Google, IE maps, Google drive, Google everything so that it can basically remember everything you do and search to best support you. It gets to know you in an AI sense. I personally like this as a huge fan of Google but if you find it invasive just keep that in mind.
Google has the VR headset too which we purchased and it's a blast. Solid design which looks fashionable if that matters at all to you. The performance is clutch and as far as I can tell I won't be needing the more expensive VR options until VR gets more refined in years to come. (And I expect a company like Google to keep up if not surpass the advancements).
I do recommend this phone to anyone who can afford it.

I honestly can't say anything bad about this phone after a bit of use. Phone is fast, does everything I ask of it with no issues. Battery life is more than enough on my light to moderate use. Images I've taken are better than expected. Easy to use, although I am avoiding using gimmicky things like the Google Assistant. And honestly, Best Buy mobile had a lot more to offer than Verizon, so do yourself a favor and just buy this if you want an upgrade.

I broke my previous phone and was in the middle of getting a new job. I needed a phone ASAP. I went to my local Best Buy hoping they had the Pixel. I've been eyeing the phone, but wanted to save up for it; breaking my phone forced me to get it without properly saving. I really wanted the silver one and considered the XL, but they only had the regular 5" screen in black. I was happy they had at least one (it was the last one) left.
I really enjoy this phone. I was amazed at how fast the phone charged.. I had the Samsung S4 (I know, it's so old), and I felt like there Pixel was a dramatically faster charge compared to it! Even charging the phone in my car charges so fast! I also love the Google Assistant and the camera quality and features. Another feature of the phone I really enjoy is the fingerprint security. I love how easy it is to unlock the phone with your fingerprint, and most of my financial apps (BoA, Capital One, etc) with the fingerprint. Best Buy was also able to unlock the phone for me, since I have TMobile. I had a great experience with customer service and I love the phone!

Bought this phone as an upgrade form my Samsung S3, and it was an upgrade in every way. Battery life has been fantastic lasting all day even when watching a significant amount of youtube videos. Places where my old Samsung had trouble with reception I have had no problems with the Pixel. Pictures log amazing. The UI is very responsive unlike many other phones I tried while shopping for this one. I love way that the UI allows for very quick access to apps by just swiping up and the google feed that swipes in from the left.
I have been very happy with this phone. My only gripe is that I have selected the fingerprint reader as my method of security and I feel that it requires the alternative password method of logging in too often. This is the first fingerprint reader I have used on a phone so I am not sure if it is normal behavior or not, but I would rather not have to type in the password so often which is why I chose to use the fingerprint reader.. I have not spent the time to see if there is a setting that can be changed to solve this issue and it is only a minor nuisance.

Bought this for my daughter's first phone. It's been a great phone so far with no problems. Takes the best pictures of any cell phone I've ever seen. Simple, clean, fast phone with no added junk like other phones add. Monthly updates.

Finally a flagship phone that lives up to the hype. The pixel is butter smooth, feels solid, and most importantly looks great. The screen is top notch, and the phone, even the Verizon version, isn't clogged with a ton of bloatware. All phone should be all-carrier capable like these.

I been looking and playing with phones for 6 months, and it was the Pixel, Droid Z force, or the LG G5. After reading everything, I went with the Pixel for 2 simple facts.
The first one, the pixel doesn't have all the bloatware and apps like other phones, just a pure android experience like if you just rooted the phone.
And the second is al the updates come directly from Google, not from Verizon. My last phone, it took several months to get the update and almost 1.5 years to get the second one.
The only issue I have, just like my previous phone, it doesn't allow external storage, but google allows you to use Google photos to store all your photos and full resolution for free, and unlimited with this phone. so that is good.
The battery lasts about 13-15 hours depending on use, and can charge within an hr to hr and 15 minutes for full charge. Just 15 minutes the phone can go from 10 percent to 25-30 percent.

Coming from using a Nexus 6p, I wasn't sure if I will get used to the Pixel. To my surprise, it is refreshing to use a phone that I can hold comfortably in my hand. Being this is Google's next iteration of the Nexus legacy, it certainly did not disappoint. The screen is vibrant, despite the fact that it only has 1080p resolution. It can handle any tasks you throw at it, without any hesitation. The camera takes great pictures, and of course, you get the latest updates from Google. I am currently running the Pixel on 7.1.1, and it is good to know that I am covered with OS updates for the next 2 years. I am looking forward to what Google brings next year with the Pixel 2. In the meantime, I will enjoy this.

I've had my Pixel for just over 30 days now. I upgraded from a Nexus 5, which I was happy with, but was beginning to show its age. The Pixel's battery life is wonderful compared to the Nexus, probably in part due to the improved Doze feature of Nougat. The camera is also phenomenal. I have only two main complaints: a) the phone feels a little slippery in my hand without a case on it, although I haven't dropped it yet, and b) the phone seems to struggle with maintaining a good signal. Placed side by side next to my wife's iPhone, I've seen variations of 10 dBm or more between the two (we're both on Verizon). I have had several dropped calls at home, while my wife has yet to experience one since she got her phone more than 3 months ago. From my reading online, this doesn't sound like an isolated issue, but it does sound rare. Because I can still use WiFi calling just fine, and this issue only seems to happen to me at home, I'm overall happy with my purchase.

I hesitated buying this phone since I didn't know much about it. I have always hated Apple and their customer service treated me poorly, so I refused to get an iPhone. I had a galaxy s6 for less then a year and the battery when bad and it had software issues. I got this phone to avoid Apple and Samsung. That was a great choice on my end. I absolutely adore everything about this phone. It has a very sharp and sleek look. It was seamlessly with Gmail and automatically backs up all your pictures to your Google account (with unlimited storage). For someone who always runs out of memory due to pictures this is great. I also am able to see pictures on my old phone, but they aren't taking up storage. The phone is very fast and the battery last for over a day (and I am always on my phone). I also love that fact that the charger cable is very thick and doesn't feel like it'll break one 2 weeks, unlike most chargers. It also comes with 2 cables, and brick, and an adapter for usb-c to usb-a (the adapter allows me to use the brick from my old phone charger) so basically I don't have to worry about buying an extra charger since I have 2. Love love love this phone!

The Android Phone we all been asking for!

Let's set one thing straight, this is a phone for the absolutely for Android purest even if they believe it isn't. This phone does not have all the bells and whistles such as a waterproofing, dual cameras, or some crazy iris scanner. What this smartphone does have is rock solid performance and superior timely Android OS updates. Something any consumer would want in an modern android smartphone.
Design / Screen: The phone itself is very lightweight in the hand and easy to hold. It is roughly the same height as a Nexus 5x. The round corners to the back makes the pixel feel smooth as you grip it. 2.5D curve smoothness from the screen transitions to the back of the device. It's not a bad thing whatsoever, this device have fantastic build quality as it should for the price tag. Every inch of the phone does feel premium for the most part with a mixture of Gorilla glass on the back and metal. This phone certainly IMO doesn't win a beauty contest for looks. The beautiful 5 inch 1080p AMOLED screen shines on this phone is stunning to look at with colors popping right at you. The Screen also gets bright in direct sunlight as well.
There is a fingerprint scanner on the back giving you the ability to unlock your phone among other things with your finger. It is very quick to open up the phone with no lag opening up your device. There is also a headphone jack. Vol keys and power keys feel nice in the hand with very clicky and responsive feedback. No camera hump in the back lets it lay flat on the table.
Performance: The Google Pixel is the fastest Android device I have ever used and I'm not just throwing this term around to just any phone. And I used a lot of them. It's so fast that you might shake your head in disbelief how far we come in terms of tech. Every app opens up with lightning speed. No lag, No delay, and No shutter. There is no slowing this phone down with whatever you decide to do.
The OS is buttery smooth which you can tell Google themselves really worked hard on the inside as well as the outside. Just scrolling around on the device just feels...better. It's such a natural feel to Android 7.1, I think it may have something to do with all the little touches on Animations that's throughout the entire OS but those small Animations help the overall smoothness of the device.
Google also improve the long press. It's when you hold down an icon and a host of shortcuts come up. For example if you hold down the "Play Google Music" icon you will see "I'm feeling lucky", "My Library", and "Recent Activity." While long touch has been around for a long time on Android it seems Google has made it useful. Pretty much they made it like Apple's 3D touch without actually having a screen for the technology.
Games blazing with smoothness as I tried Pokémon Go, Vain Glory, Real Racing 3, Dead Trigger 2, GTA:SA, and Unkilled. All of which open up the games rapidly. I will note that I have the 32GB so I couldn't fit that many more games. I recommend you getting the 128GB Pixel if mobile gaming is your thing. When downloading apps the device or charging up the device it doesn't get hot.
I can go ahead and tell you that this phone greatly exceeds expectations when it came to performance. While this phone have all the latest and greatest hardware it means nothing without great software. Here is where I have to give Google credit for their first fully manufactured designed phone. The hardware takes a backseat and that is a good thing Google is focusing on. You will see what I am talking about. There is a difference and charm to Pixel.
Battery life: I get about 5 hours and 45 mins of screen on time which is pretty standard but they remedy this by using rapid charge technology. Letting you charge up your phone with USB-C for 15 minutes for 7 hours of battery life. The claim is true and the phone charges extremely fast and speedy. If you get up in the morning you probably will have to charge this midday. It could be worse but it's not bad.
Sound: It's just ok. Not blown by it and not disappointed. The speaker aren't bad just wish they used front facing speakers rather then the downward speakers. They didn't use the space at the bottom of the chin of the phone to do this but they could have.
Camera: The camera is no slouch. And I mean that in the most serious way possible. 12 MP camera on the back provide perhaps the best picture quality I've seen on a phone ever. Due to the large sensor the camera on the pixel picks up just about every single detail. The autofocus is extremely rapid and responsive. It knows exactly what I want to target when tapping on screen. There is no shutter lag whatsoever. Camera something that has never been successful in the Nexus line no matter how hard Google tried (Nexus 6P was the best effort.) Here you no longer have to worry about dealing with a bad camera or being embarrassed to show off grainy pictures, every photo comes out superb. The pixel HDR+ processes the photos much faster than Nexus 6P before providing a better experience but there is no OIS just EIS. I'm no camera expert by any means but what I see with my eyes is beautiful. Oh yeah and Google photos just sweetens camera even more. Speaking of which...
Google Photos: Google Photos is an app/cloud service that allows you to backup photos from your everyday life. App is free but it scales down the resolution you took photos. This App is available on the Google Play and on Apple's AppStore for any phone out now. One of the benefits of the Pixel phone is to have free unlimited full size resolution photo space for life as well as videos. (As long as you took the pictures/videos with a Pixel phone.) The most impressive here is that Google gives you free backup videos with 4K! I've been recording in 4K for the past few days and it feels good to not use storage space on the phone itself. This makes me even more excited for Chromecast Ultra coming out because Google will support Google Photos in 4K. You will be able to stream your home movies you recorded in 4K to your TV with ease.
Google Assistance: Google Assistant is Google's latest virtual assistant. Pretty much like a an upgrade to Google Now on Tap / Allo. Which is from my experience more powerful and robust than the old version of Google Now. This version gives the impression that you are having a conversation between you and the A.I. It's more natural dialogue that comes off less robotic and more human. It also learns as you use the phone and take interest in things you do in your daily life. You can activate this by holding down the home onscreen button or saying "OK Google." Not only it does those things but it can find information on the screen.
For example if you are texing a friend and your friend says "Do you will want to see Deadpool 2 and go to (Insert favorite restaurant here) after?" When you hold down the home button onscreen key it will find you trailers, locations the movie is playing in, times for the movies, news about the movie, and so on. It will also give you locations of the restaurant that was mentioned. Or another example, you can talk to Google assistant and say "What is the best restaurant in Chicago?" She will then look up a listings of the best restaurants in the city.
There is many things the assistant can do for you (Like call an Uber) and I have yet discovered them all. Google Now felt more like a beta while this is more of a fully functional version. It's fun to use every now and then but I don't use it often. Oh I almost forgot that she can now also tell jokes like Siri.
The Uproar: Big problem that you will find from a lot of people about this phone is that it's extremely expensive for a Google phone. While yes it's more expensive but there have been other Nexus phones with a high price tag before (Nexus 6.) People say there isn't enough features to compare to other flagships out at the time which is certainly true. But you have to remember that this device is strictly Google's, you are getting live 24/7 support right on the phone itself as well as updates day one. Not saying that justifies the price tag I'm just saying that this shows that this phone has a lot of weight with support thrown into it. You also are getting free unlimited full resolution storage for Google photos that even saves 4K videos you record. Behind the scenes there is almost enough there to make up the price...almost.
Overall: There is only one word I can think to describe this phone; Fast. It's just fast. No lag at all. It's just a speedy phone with great hardware and unprecedented software that Google optimize the heck out of. if you like things clean, fast, pure Android than this is clearly for you.
There is nothing else on the market like it. For such the compact size it's a powerhouse which we don't see that much today in the Android space. Not many "high spec / small screen" phones out there. This phone checks those boxes and many more. I would indeed without a shadow of doubt recommend the Pixel to friends and family for its ease of use, design, and build quality.
Google finally getting aggressive going toe to toe with Samsung, Apple, LG, Sony and many other OEMs. If they continue the magnificent path with Pixel line of phones they will eventually rise to the top. The Pixel makes its mark giving us a Google we never seen before and one that should terrify other OEMs. 5 stars.
TL;DR: Love the phone, Amazing speed. 5 stars. Good job Google.

Fast fingerprint scanner, nice bright screen, amazing camera in all occasions. Only down fall is no edge to edge screen. Besides that good battery, and fast processor.
