Customers frequently mention the excellent camera quality and long battery life as major pros of the Pixel 4G LTE phone. The ease of use and screen size also receive positive feedback. However, some users express concerns about the limited storage capacity and lack of water resistance and wireless charging capabilities. A few also comment on the fingerprint reader placement.

Great phone, has some weird bugs

Camera is almost perfect, and stock Android is as good as ever. With any phone like this (Nexus, Pixel), you're going to be a bit of a beta tester. First few months had some bugs, and while they do get fixed in quick updates, you have to be prepared for them to come up. Otherwise, would highly recommend.

NOT HAPPY

NOT HAPPY, DIDN'T THINK GOOGLE WOULD GIVE ME THE RUN AROUND.
I purchased this phone from google store and while the phone is snappy and great to navigate. My particular device is experiencing ear piece speaker problems and google support wont replace it. They claim it is a known and popular software bug and wont honor any return or replace even though i paid for 2 year insurance. I've had this problem for over a month and the last update didn't correct the problem. All the tech did to trouble shoot the issue was to have me boot into safe mode then factory reset, both times the problem remained and that's all he needed to do to rule out hardware issue.
While i cant refer this device to a friend, i just cant right now until the bugs are gone.

Great phone for the price, direct updates from Google. Lightening fast browsing, fingerprint sensor in the back makes single hand operation a breeze.

I had bought this phone with watching the release videos and even read reviews and waited for the phone. When i first got it i was pleased until i started using it and then my excitement went down. The camera was good but not like the release and then it started freezing. My most recent experience is why i am writing this review i woke up one morning and my screen went black just out of nowhere. Then come to find out the only people who can help me is Google, of course im not worried because my phone is warrantied which it is, but i still have to pay 700 dollars to get a new one. Poor customer service and poor management when coming to warranties, i am very dissapointed in google and will not be buying another Google phone.

Software and Customer Service problems

The Pixel software stopped working about 3 weeks in. Phone kept rebooting on its own, battery drained quickly, couldn't make or receive calls at times. Customer service gave me bad advice first time around. Second time sent me a refurbished phone, but not a new phone--one that was refurbished even though phone was defective soon after purchase. Couldn't use the phone for over a week because of defects and bad advice from customer service.

Poor product and poor customer service

I really wanted to like this product, but unfortunately I'm already on my third Google Pixel phone in less than 6 months. The first had the microphone and speaker stop working. The second (which now I am in refurbished phone death spiral as that is all they give you as replacements), has the battery die between 20-30% battery life remaining. I talked to Google customer service (Chris and Shane) about getting a new phone due to my multiple problems. They assured me the replacement phone will be "as good as new". I asked them to stand behind those words and give me a full year manufacturer warranty from the date I receive this "as good as new" phone. They stated "they are unable to provide" and to be understanding of their "limitations". So I would say there is a strong lack of customer service. I had these same problems with Samsung and then ended up with a dead phone shortly after the year manufacturer warranty expired when I was on that third replacement phone (Note 4). So if you do want the Google Pixel, be aware of the lack of customer service and poor phone quality. I'm hoping the third time is a charm while I'm stuck paying this phone off for another year and half, but wanted to warn others of these pitfalls.

Microphone broken on two phones

I'm seriously upset right now with the Pixel phone. I has my first one for three month before the microphone stopped working and will randomly reboot. It seems there is a hardware problem that Google is saying effect only 1% of devices. This is B.S. because they sent me a new one and this one also has a the same problem. I would not recommend getting this phone. I'm seriously thinking of suing over this. I want my money back this time. I have an unusable phone for about two weeks now.

Wont sync with my car's bluetooth. Since I am in the car 2 hours a day in a state where use of handheld phones is banned this is a major inconvenience.

Google Has Awful Support

I purchased the pixel and in less than 10 days cracks started to appear on the screen. The phone has never been dropped, so it must be a defect, yet Google refuses to do anything since it wasn't purchased from them directly. Worse, provider wants to charge insurance deductible. If I wanted bad service with cheap phones I would have gotten an iPhone!
