Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Pixel 5 5G 128GB's battery life and camera quality, frequently praising its performance and ease of use. Many appreciate the phone's smaller size while maintaining a good screen size, along with its storage capacity and 5G capabilities. However, some users reported issues with Bluetooth connectivity and found the user interface to be somewhat different from previous versions. The price point was also generally considered favorable.

Love the pixel 5. I upgraded from pixel 3 and the increased storage and upgraded processor are fantastic. Battery life is amazing. Seamless connection with my pixelbook go and earbuds.

I finally replace my original Pixel XL (first gen) and plan on keeping this phone for several years too. I'd heard complaints about the speakers behind the screen but they sound fine to me. Anyway I mostly play through bluetooth but use the built-in speaker getting ready in the morning, including the shower, and a drop of water in the regular speaker hole of my old phone killed the sound (for like 15 minutes) but this one hasn't had that problem. It feels quick and I like the display. The fingerprint reader is reliable. I'm not too worried about the camera but it seems great to me. I like that I get security (and feature) updates right away, unlike some other brands.

Couldn't ask for a better phone. As a previous iPhone & Samsung owner, I have to say this Pixel 5 is a winner. Love the battery life, amazing camera and less disturbing mandatory Apps!

    A solid not-a-flagship, midrange phone

Overall, I've been loving my Pixel 5. Coming from the Pixel 2 XL, the updates made to the camera software and Assistant integration are immediately noticeable. While I wish Google had offered a flagship option with better specs, this little phone hits harder than I expected. The battery life is beyond expectations. Having been used to being tethered to my charger, the Pixel 5 can last for days at a time before hitting battery saver with lighter use, and can coast through overnight from 90->45% with several hours of SOT, and always-on display. My biggest gripe is the removal of the squeeze for assistant (active edge?)... far more intuitive to me than the swipe from corner gesture to activate the assistant.

It's what you expect. A pure experience of Android, easy to use, and a great camera. The camera is second to none, and not having a true optical zoom lens has not hurt the quality of the photos, (yet). If you are looking for top of the line components, this is not the phone for you. It does lag when processing pictures. It may lag at times when opening certain apps as well, when compared to the top of the line Samsung phones. If you can be patient for 2 seconds, it's worth it for me. It helps that I got it on Black Friday for $200 off, so I feel like it was worth it at that price point.

I have loved every pixel that I've owned. This one is no different. The only real different between this phone and past pixels is the wireless charging feature. Also, your can use this phone as a wireless charger which is cool. I upgraded from the pixel 3xl. This phone is smaller but the display is pretty much the same size. They moved the speaker from the front of the phone to the bottom which I don't love but it's not a deal breaker. Activating and transferring all my apps and settings from my old phone was effortless. Overall I would recommend this phone to anyone.

    Fast/Easy/User-friendly interface + water proof

Easy and intuitive user interface. Fast. Water proof: I accidentally spilled water over the phone and was prompted with a message that 'USB port is deactivated from debris or water. you will be notified when the USB port is ready to use'. I was not able to use USB port but later received a message that the USB port is ready to use and I verified the port functioned normally again. Camera/Photo quality is superior (and natural) compared to new iPhone which somehow showed an added bright blue shade to all photos.

This phone handles the rigors of data collection in post-fire operations, it can get wet with no problems which actually happens a lot, it can be dropped, which also happens a lot, it can get dirty, covered in ash, and it goes everywhere I do with barely a mark to show for it. I get better reception with this phone, sometimes I even find a few bars of 5G while working in the burn scar!

I am biased to start. I really like Google phones. The pure "Google" version of Android with constant safety updates is comforting. It looks like Google finally figured out battery life. I use my phone a fair amount. When I get up at 6:30-ish fully charged and got to bed and put it back on the charger at 60-65% battery. That is amazing. And this one has wireless charging - something I look forward to messing with more. And, of course, the Google camera software is phenomenal.
