I currently have a pair of beats fit pros that I've had for about a year, I was looking for something that could handle device switching more seamlessly. These certainly fit the bill and worked well between my Pixel 9 and Nvidia shield, they would connect before I even got them into my ears correctly and switching was automatic. I ended up returning them though for a few reasons. 1. The audio quality could not match my beats fit pros, no matter the EQ settings, I'm sure it's partly because they dont seal in your ear as well. 2. The microphones are on the outside of the earbud and large and visible, I wear a lot of hats and that causes it to rub against these microphones which is really loud and uncomfortable when you have transparency mode on. 3. The automatic conversation transparency mode switching is really slow and would activated randomly, so I had to disable the feature. 4. The biggest problem is the microphone quality, it sounded like I was underwater, I tried calls with with my Pixel 9 and OnePlus 8t and no matter what I did, the quality was just awful, on phone calls and on recordings, these have worse quality sound then the cheap $25 pair of earbuds I picked up a few years ago. I wish I could take the form factor and microphone from my beats fit pros and merge it with the software, integration and features of these. Maybe with some firmware updates they will be better, but as it stands I wouldn't recommend these at this price.

      Hi JohnathanDoe,

We appreciate your review and hear your concerns about audio and microphone quality. Here are some simple steps that may help troubleshoot the issue:

      1. Try resetting your Pixel Buds.
      2. Confirm that the proper eartip size is selected for optimal audio quality. Try all 3 sizes to find the most comfortable tip that provides the best audio performance. A tight seal gives you better sound and mic performance.
      3. Placement of a phone, particularly in outdoor scenarios, may affect Bluetooth connection. You can improve the Bluetooth connection by changing the placement of the phone where the phone is held.

Compared directly to the beats fit pro, these are superior. Especially for use with a pixel 9

Not recommended for Apple users in my personal opinion, sound is okay, I don’t like that they kept coming out, I did try to change the ear piece and still it didn’t fit right.

Hey there, Yvas. We’re sorry the Pixel Buds Pro 2 aren’t fitting the best for you. Our recommendation is to try memory foam eartips. If you’re not getting a perfect fit with our silicone eartips, memory foam eartips might be worth a try. Hey there, Hera. We’re sorry to see you ran into an audio issue on the Pixel Buds Pro 2. A quick reset will normally solve most problems — here’s how:

      1. Go to your device’s Bluetooth settings and forget Google Pixel Buds.
      2. Plug the charging case into a power source using a USB-C cable.
      3. Make sure the Pixel Buds are seated within the charging case and leave the charging case open.
      4. Press and hold the pairing button on the back of the case for 30 seconds.
      5. When the earbuds status light stops bouncing, let go of the pairing button.
      6. Check the earbuds status lights.

If this doesn’t resolve the problem, please reach out to us and we can investigate further: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp?sjid=1168929876280557452-NC madebygoogle

    Windows 11 Driver Issues AVOID!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I just want to preface this by saying I had 0 issues with the first edition of Pixel Buds Pro. These, however, are terrible if you want to use them with a Windows 11 PC. If you're on Mac, you probably won't' experience an issue. Check with a reddit search before purchasing. The issue: Windows 11 gives a driver error (image) and this translates to weird behavior by the buds while connected. This includes dropped audio signals, slow connection, being out of sync, and worst of all windows recognizes it as "connected" but the buds won't be listed in the audio output menu. This means audio will continue to play on your default speakers with no way of switching it to your buds. The only workaround I've found is to forget the device completely and re-connect it EVERY SINGLE TIME I USE MY COMPUTER. Whether this is a windows issue or a pixel buds issue, I don't care at this point. The fact remains that the first gens don't have this problem and that's what I'll be sticking to. These are getting returned.

The headphones are fine. I was hoping the wingtips would have been more secure. I got to spend $70 to buy a new right earbud because I went on a camping trip with a buddy for his birthday this weekend and had to sadly row up to my wife on shore and tell her that I knocked my earbud out of ear and it was at the bottom of the river. So that's fun I guess

Hey there, KrazedZombies. We’re sorry to hear what happened to your Pixel Buds Pro 2 — we totally get your frustration. Here are some steps to make sure you’re getting the most secure fit:

      1. Place each earbud gently in your ear, ensuring the eartip is inside and the G logo is facing outward.
      2. Tuck the black fin (Twist-to-adjust stabilizer) at the top of the earbud toward the back of your ear.
      3. Twist the stabilizer counter-clockwise to lock the earbuds in place during physical activity.
      4. Twist the stabilizer clockwise to loosen them for regular use.

I personally enjoy these earbuds a lot. I enjoy the way it looks and how it fits in my ears. The EQ is amazing and I was so happy that there is a find my device to this item. Each earbud has and sound that it makes if lost. EVEN THE CASE makes a sound if it is lost, which is very cool.
