They always fall out
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was hoping these would work better. Since I've tried them every which way in my ear they always seem to be falling out even if I'm sitting still talking on the phone they'll just fall out of my ear. Not impressed with them and now they're cheaper than what I paid for them. I wish they would refund me the price difference. Or let me return them

Great deal
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.when sold at $149.99, it's worth every penny. Wish to see the next discount from $199.99. The multi-point and audio switch among different devices are impressive. I just wish it didn't have to rely on the Google Pixel Phone to get firmware updates.

Poor Quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very disappointed in these, especially after reading so many good reviews. I have had them for just under 3 months and the left earbud simply stopped working. I have taken great care of them, no water damage, no heat/cold damage, etc. The design seems to be so sensitive that any little bump on them (even from the weight of a hat covering it a little) caused it to make shrieking noises that were AWFUL. They left me wanting some old school aux earbuds.

The Pixel Buds Pro are designed for a secure, comfortable fit, but everyone's ears are different! Pixel Buds Pro comes with three different sizes of eartips (small, medium, large). Connectivity Issues during phone calls.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Issues: - On phone calls, I could only get 1 earbud to work. After a few minutes on the call, the other bud would drop out too. Things I did to fix it (that didn't work): - disconnect, reset buds, reconnect - update Pixel Buds App, update firmware - confirmed that my phone (S21 Ultra) works with other earbuds - it does - returned buds to BestBuy and replaced with a new pair. The issue was the same with the replacement. - Contacted Google support and spent an hour chatting with them without success. My case was escalated.

Posted .Hi PrafulP, we’re thankful for your feedback on Pixel Buds Pro. We’re glad that you love them but we’re sorry to hear it didn’t fit well in your ears. We understand that you've returned them, and if you’re willing to give the Pixel Buds Pro another go in the future, you can try out all 3 ear tip sizes to find the most comfortable tip for you, and ensure that you get the best comfort and seal. Your Pixel Buds are pre-attached with medium eartips and come with small and large ear tips so that you can improve your fit. Ears are unique so your left ear may be different from your right ear. Try different sizes for each ear to find the best fit. To swap eartips, pull the attached eartip off and press the other eartip onto the earbud until you feel a light snap. Gently pull on the eartip to ensure that it's properly attached.

Posted .Hi Angela, thanks for being a loyal advocate of our Pixel Buds product. We're sorry to hear that they fall out of your ears.
Your Pixel Buds are pre-attached with medium eartips and come with small and large ear tips so that you can improve your fit. Ears are unique so your left ear may be different from your right ear. Try different sizes for each ear to find the best fit. A tight seal gives you better sound and isolation, even when setting it in Transparency mode. If you are not getting the audio quality you expect, try bigger eartips. To swap eartips, pull the attached eartip off and press the other eartip onto the earbud until you feel a light snap. Gently pull on the eartip to ensure that it's properly attached.

Poor customer support
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Earbuds worked great for about 9 months. I started having issues with the right earbud and contacted Google for support/warranty. Google customer support has been disappointing. After a week I'm still being told that "my case has been escalated to a higher reviewer" and an told that they can't give me a time frame for how long it will take to respond. I think they are just trying to get me to give up.

||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these to use for when I work on projects and as a daily earbud, I have had them less than a year and the left one is dead. Finally, a worthy competitor to the Airpods
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has taken Google a while, but they finally got it right. The Google Pixel Buds Pro are finally a worthy pair of buds for Android. You can't really say the Pixel Buds "compete" with the AirPods because it is not a competition - Android users aren't going to buy AirPods and Apple users aren't going to buy Pixel buds for the single reason that these devices are intended for one type of operating system. That aside, Android users have been waiting for a product that provide users with the same experience that AirPods provide Apple users - that is a product that is built well, is integrated into the OS without additional software, long battery life, ability to locate a missing bud, good sound quality, active noise canceling, and good feedback to finger gestures that aren't annoying or poorly implemented. And the Pixel Buds achieve this very well. My ONLY complaint about the product is that it doesn't come with a charge cable. It blows my mind that we are in a day in age where manufacturers can get away with not including equipment to CHARGE their products...terrible. I guess, just find yourself a cheap USB C cable around the house and you are good. I highly recommend the Pixel Buds Pro. Google has a winner here. Integration - I have a Pixel 6 with the latest Android (12?). The second I opened the Pixel Buds Pro case it immediately recognized the buds, showed the battery life in the bluetooth button in the notifications menu, and all controls are built into the settings. There is a functionality to find a lost bud, but I haven't tried it. I suspect it'll work with some degree of success. Build - excellent quality. My ear holes are small, and thankfully Google included 3 sizes of rubbers. The smallest size work great and they stay in my head (when upright, of course). Sound quality - excellent. Can't complain. ANC - it is good but not amazon. Then again, the Apple AirPods pro are the same. You can't expect TOO much from any ear buds. These types of headphones don't have the space that over-ear cups offer, nor do they have the same technology advancements that Bose and Sony have patented. I have Bose QC45's so I can compare the two. If Bose is a 10 out of 10 on ANC, the Buds are around a 6 out of 10. My QC45's completely filter my baby's white noise machine. My Pixel Buds, not entirely. They do a great job for a bud, don't get me wrong, just if you are looking for a true ANC solution, get over-the-head headphones. Gestures - I had the original Pixel Buds and I hated the gestures. So many errant touches would mess things up. It was annoying to the point that I swore never again to get buds. But the Pixel Buds Pro change all that. I have had no problems or complaints and I enjoy using them. Take a bud out of the ear and the music and ANC stop. Put it back in and both restart. Amazing. Gestures need to be concise, so it is not often that I have an errant gesture occur accidentally. Build quality - excellent. Can't complain. Battery Life - I can't listen to music (or keep buds in my ears) for anymore than 3 hours or so, so I haven't tested the FULL capacity of the buds, but given the information I have gathered (~3 hrs = 25% usage), I think the battery will last about 12 hours, which is pretty good in my book. Can't speak to how many charges you'll get out of the case. I'll take Google's word for its capacity and do the math. I can't speak to indicator lights. Everything is white since everything is brand new and fully charged. I do see an orange light when I first put the buds back in the case, but it goes away. There is a button on the case but I don't know what it does.

Posted .Hi Todd, we truly appreciate your feedback on Pixel Buds Pro. We‘re sorry to learn of your disappointment that the charging cable is not included, and that the ANC feature has not met your expectations.
Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal adapts to your unique ear shape, and the earbuds fit in your ear canal to maximize the amount of noise blocked. Rather than using an off-the-shelf solution, Pixel Buds Pro’s Active Noise Cancellation uses an integrated system developed by Google, with a custom processor, custom algorithms, and custom speakers. When Active Noise Cancellation is on, sensors constantly measure the pressure in your ear canal so the earbuds can actively relieve it and stay comfortable. Ear tips in three sizes ensure your earbuds can be customized to best fit your unique ear shape.
Our research shows that even for the majority of power users, usage tops out about 4 total hours per day. For the rare days where much more listening time is needed, 15 minutes in the case provide up to three extra hours of listening, and 5 minutes provide up to one hour of listening. And the total listening time of up to 31 hours with the case gets most of our users from one weekend to the next.
Here are the details about what the blinking lights on the case mean:
When the case lid is open:
- Solid white: Pixel Buds are fully charged.
- Solid yellow: One or both earbuds are charging.
- Blinking white: Pixel Buds are in pairing mode. Pairing mode begins automatically if you press and hold the pairing button for 3s during the setup process.
- Color changes from white to yellow: Factory reset is in progress.
- Blinking white or yellow: Pixel Buds are trying to pair but one of them is not properly seated in the charging case. Try closing the lid and re-opening to re-align the buds. OR
- Blinking yellow: Pixel Buds still have charge left but the charging case has less than 20%.
When the lid is closed:
- Solid white: Pixel Buds charging case battery is full, or able to charge earbuds for at least one full charge.
- Blinking yellow: Pixel Buds charging case battery is less than 20% (i.e. has less than one full charge left for the earbuds).
- Solid yellow: Pixel Buds charging case battery and/or buds are charging.
Lastly, the case button is used for resetting (case) and for pairing purposes only, and please note that resetting the Pixel Buds and case will reset all their settings. This includes the name of the device and preferences for enabling/disabling features. You will need to forget and re-pair any other devices that Pixel Buds were paired with.

Didn't work for my ear shape, unfortunately
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really excited to get these earbuds because of their compatibility with my Pixel. They paired seamlessly with my phone and setup was easy and helpful! After about 20 minutes, my ears really started to hurt. I tried readjusting their position for a few hours to make them work, but just couldn't find a happy medium between snug and painless. I changed the earbud size but that didn't help at all. I don't doubt that these are great for a lot of people, but they just didn't work for me. They're definitely worth trying if you have a Pixel. Apple wins this round imo

Nice sound-love the touch swipe to change volume
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google Pixel Buds Pro have a nice look with a smooth, matte case that flips open to easily access the ear buds. I think it is kind of fun that multiple Pixel Buds colors are offered to change things up a bit with charcoal, coral, fog and lemongrass. The fit is quite comfortable for easy listening, Zoom and use at the office, but I don’t think I’d trust them to stay put with any really strenuous activity. The Pixel Buds come with additional ear tips to customize your fit and the app will run an ear tip seal test should you find that helpful. A small note, but I appreciate that the product packaging is environmentally friendly and recyclable. Fast pairing of the Pixel Buds is simple with the case open, just hold the pairing button on the back until it begins to blink white. In using these for about a week I’ve found the charge to suit my needs nicely with a promised 7 hours of listening time with active noise cancelling (ANC) on or 11 hours with ANC off. Charge your case fully and these numbers go up to 20 hours and 31 hours, respectively. No USB-C charging cable is included, but I think most will already have one available so I don’t see this as a big deal. It’s handy that the case’s status light will also indicate whether Pixel Buds are fully charged, charging or the status of the charge case itself among other indicators. Sound quality is quite good. Volume EQ is available and will automatically adjust one’s EQ as the volume is turned up or down. It seems to adjust bass and treble with the intent to balance highs, mids and lows to clearly hear all sounds in a song. The result seems quite pleasant to me and the clarity is great. A promised update for the Fall is spatial audio to put one in the middle of the action while viewing a tv show or movie on compatible Pixel phones. I’ve gotten favorable responses when I’ve asked callers how I sound on their end of the conversation. The Pixel Buds app is needed to obtain updates, do a seal fit test or to access customization features. Set up Google Assistant (on Pixel and Android 6.0+ only) and a simple Hey Google or OK Google will allow one to speak to Google Assistant or hear one’s notifications. This is a nice option for hands free access to control one’s music, respond to texts or ask Google for directions. Another nice option is the ability to use Google Translate through Google Assistant or via the Google Translate app. On a regular basis, I just want to pop my ear buds in and start listening so my favorite feature about the Pixel Buds has to be the intuitive controls that make regular use of the app fairly obsolete. Yes, you’ll find the typical motion controls to play/pause media, answer calls and the like, but I really like the ability to swipe back and forth to decrease or increase volume. I’ve found the controls to work quite well for all of these functions including the long press to switch between ANC and transparency mode (or customize to include activation of Google Assistant). The Google Pixel Buds Pro have a lot to offer, especially if you’re an Android user. Apple users won’t have access to the app and thus won’t be able to acquire updates so I’d probably look for alternatives in this case. Otherwise, sound quality, intuitive controls, Google interface, water resistance, and active noise cancellation are among the list of features that really make these a nice choice.

Disappointing and possibly defective
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like these. I traded in my competitor-branded earbuds because they had problems getting and staying connected to my Pixel phone. Unfortunately, the pair I received were a massive disappointment. The biggest dealbreaker for me is an incessant sound in the right earbud when ANC or Transparency mode are in use. It sounds like static or like someone constantly blowing on a microphone. The noise is noticeable at all times whether content is playing or not. The only escape is to turn off one of the major features of the Pixel Buds, and even then, the right earbud doesn't sound quite right. The most charitable explanation is that I have a defective product, but there are reviews dating back years in this product line detailing similar issues. I followed the factory reset instructions on Google's support page to see if perhaps that would help but to no avail. The sound persists. I had my husband try them on as well to see if it was a 'me' issue and he noticed the same issue immediately without my prompting. It is ridiculously easy to misclick the earbud. Keeping in mind I only used the product about an hour due to the aforementioned static, I found it all too easy to accidentally trigger commands on the earbuds such as tapping the bud vs holding, or accidentally messing with the volume control. I am returning my product tomorrow, and I haven't decided if I'll give the Pixel Buds Pro another shot. The only reason this is a two star review and not a one star is because the setup process with my Pixel phone was seamless and the earbuds are comfortable.
