Sound Great But ANC is Terrible

I love the new EQ. I can them to sound exactly how I want. They aren't the most comfortable earbuds I've owned but they aren't the worst. I can only do a couple hours before they are fatiguing. I appreciate the small carrying case. I like that they have wireless charging. They look nice. But the ANC is terrible. I have earbuds that cost 1/4 the price and have way better ANC. It feels like ANC from 2 or 3 generations ago where it only cuts out really low consistent frequencies. You will hear everything else perfectly. Zero dampening of office chatter. My $60 eaebuds do it so Google does not get a pass here. If you dont care about ANC, it's a good buy. But if ANC is important, it's a good bye. Especially for $200.

A Practical Review for the Google Pixel Buds Pro.

I was expecting more from the Google Pixel Buds Pro. They did not fit well. The sound quality was left more to be desired. The software improvements could have been more innovative.

Hello there, Detail. Thanks for the feedback you provided, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience with the Pixel Buds Pro is below your expectations.

Your Pixel Buds are pre-attached with medium ear tips and come with small and large ear tips so that you can improve your fit. Try different sizes for each ear to find the best fit. A tight seal gives you better sound, noise cancellation, and mic performance. Ears are unique so your left ear may be different from your right ear. So it’s not always possible to get a perfect seal, and audio can “leak” in from outside. With Silent Seal™, Pixel Buds Pro can adapt to the shape of your ear and adjust Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to compensate, so you can fully immerse yourself in music or clearly hear your video call. Very low quality for this price.

Below-average headphones: they do not hold firmly inside the ear, keep coming out if I move. A few times, they just randomly disconnect from one device that I was listening to and connect to another that is not active. This is super annoying. I wish BestBuy allowed to return purchases after 15 days. Would definitely return it.

    A Sad Story

Fantastic, except for some reason only 1 bud will work during phone calls. Then after about 5 mins, 0 buds work. I reset everything, updated firmware, updated apps, disconnected, reconnected. Nothing fixed it. I returned them to BestBuy for a new pair. The same thing happened. On the replacement set I reached out to Google support and chatted with people who couldn't figure it out. I gave up and decided to just return them to BestBuy, but I was 3 days past the 15 day return window, and I didn't want to pay their $50 membership fee to return stuff. I'm using a Samsung S21 phone. I bought the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and they are just as good, maybe better. Definitely more comfortable.

After 4 months left bud started making a static white noise. Means it wont charge anymore! What a dissappointment since they claim to be PRO and are so expensive

    I can't return them I hate them

The sound on them is decent. They're a little quieter than I'm used to. Whats strange to me is Google can literally Google what the inside of an ear looks like and they still manage to make these headphones fall out constantly. They work great... unless you're vacuuming, doing the dishes, walking, standing still, or breathing. Don't do any of those things if you don't want them to fall out of your ears.

Hello BebeTeqq, we greatly appreciate your feedback on Pixel Buds Pro, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience is less than ideal.

With Custom EQ, you can use sliders to adjust five different frequency bands and save your preferred settings. You can also turn on Volume EQ to enhance bass and treble frequencies at lower volume levels. You can also pick one of the presets, like ""Heavy bass"" for a starting point. Please note these settings do not apply to phone call audio. Or you can pick one of the following presets as a starting point to get audio that works for you.
      - Default: Google-tuned to work best across all types of audio content
      - Light bass: Reduces bass to highlight everything else
      - Heavy bass: Boosts lower frequencies to put bass first
      - Balanced: A more neutral sound that balances the instruments in all ranges
      - Vocal boost: Makes vocals stand out
      - Clarity: Boosts the highs for better understanding of the words in speech and more sparkle and brilliance in music
      - Last saved: Restores your last saved equalizer setting

For fit and comfort, we recommend trying out all 3 ear tip sizes to find the most comfortable tip for you. Your Pixel Buds are pre-attached with medium eartips and come with small and large ear tips so that you can improve your fit. Ears are unique so your left ear may be different from your right ear. Try different sizes for each ear to find the best fit. A tight seal gives you better sound, noise cancellation, and mic performance. If you are not getting the audio or call quality you expect, try bigger eartips. To swap eartips, pull the attached eartip off and press the other eartip onto the earbud until you feel a light snap. Gently pull on the eartip to ensure that it's properly attached.
