This is the second pair we've purchased. After my initial pair my spouse wanted their own set, so I had to oblige. I've owned them since release and with Google's ability to push firmware updates they've been able to iron out the kinks that were present early on. The audio quality has been greatly enhanced and the controls are very convenient. I use them a lot for work for work conference calls and never have an issue.

Love my pixel buds. The battery life is insane. I use these on my work commute. About 30 mins to and from work. I charge them once a week basically. Even though they don't have noise cancelling tech. They don't get bothered by the NYC subway. Works perfect for me. Fits in my ear nice without issue. But everyone ears are different.

I was honestly so pumped to see Google Pixel Buds that were true wireless to go with my Pixel 5. Since day 1, they've had connectivity problems. If I put my. phone in my pocket they cut out every few seconds. Extremely disappointing. I hope it's a firmware issue that can be updated and not a cheap bluetooth chip in the buds. I have the Bose QC 35 and Aeropex AfterShock bluetooth headsets as well and have zero problems with them. I'd pay more for a product that works but unfortunately i'm stuck with these... They fit great and stay in the ear well enough. They work well if I leave my phone on the counter and walk around the room but that's about all they're good for. :(

Great wireless ear buds..have not run into any weird issues with sound or cut outs. So far the sound has been great! Can't wait for the next update. Like the assistance integration. Only draw back is the tiny nubs. Wish it was smoother, sometimes it doesn't feel secure to me but it has never fallen off. Maybe it's just the light weight feel I have to get used too. Great wireless headphones overall.

These earbuds have been nothing short of amazing. The touch controls are intuitive, the audio quality is great, and the overall experience is, and has been, phenomenal. I love having the Google Assistant handy, and paired up with a Google Pixel, I have had an amazing experience. These earbuds are definitely something you shouldn't pass up.

The sound is great and true to life, so it's not overly bass-heavy. Initial connectivity is a breeze with the Pixel Buds app. The features work as advertised. I've tested the translation with a Spanish-speaking friend. It's based on Google Translate, so there were some laughs involved, but overall, it worked well. Connectivity leaves a lot to be desired. Bluetooth loses connection when my phone is in my pocket and I'm moving around at the gym, etc. Google has issued a statement that this will be fixed via a software update. Battery drain is rapid and uneven, allegedly due to offloading of secondary functions on one bud or the other. Google says this is expected, but they also say that a software update will fix this as well. As is, I can't recommend Google Pixel Buds for the price, but if the issues are fixed as promise, then these are stellar earbuds.

Excellent wireless buds, especially if you have a Pixel device. The pairing was simplistic and options available afterwards are vast. I love listening to my music with these buds. The call quality is amazing as well given the lack of wires. I would highly recommend these buds in particular if you use Google products.

These are awesome. Google assistant stays with you where ever you go. Easy tap gestures for control in situations where you don't want to be judged for talking to yourself. Room for improvement for some features like pause/play and in ear detection. Sound quality OK, outclassed by Bose products.

Good price point but many down falls. Ear bud sound cuts out when bendning over. Ear buds disconnect randomly. Using cell phone to make call with ear buds does not work very well. Good Sound quality.

The Google Pixel Buds are great if you are going in with metered expectations. Knowing Google hardware has its quirks and foibles they are great earbuds and I've never had signal issues. When going from one earbuds to the pair it takes a second for them to sync but otherwise they sound great..I never have to repeat myself with the assistant and phone quality is superb. I'd buy them again.

I'm a Pixel fan, and have been dying to get these buds as soon as they were announced. That said, I will not beta test a product for a multi-billion dollar company. They sound great, the build quality is excellent, as well as the features, but the software needs fixing. These buds have a serious disconnect issue. When standing still one bud will disconnect randomly every few minutes. When walking, they both were disconnecting constantly just walking to the mailbox and back, whether my phone was in my hand or in my pocket. I don't think this is the in-ear detection as the music never paused during the cut-outs. This is the main issue. My other issues are that I couldn't get any of the tips to be comfortable or provide a good fit, but Comply makes tips that fit these, the T-500 model (they do not lock onto the bud though like the stock tips). The other small issue was the firmware updating, which is a guessing game for the most part, as there is no option to manually update, you just have to wait and hope they decide to update while in the case next to your phone. Lastly, EQ adjustment would be nice in the app. I'll be giving the buds another shot later this year when the other colors launch and hopefully by then Google has gotten the disconnect issue fixed. If you're dying for a pair of wireless earbuds right now do not buy the gen 2 Pixel Buds.

This is my second pair as my wife room my first pair. She pairs then with an iPhone cause they got her ears best. Better than the pros and the standard models. Great sound, plenty of volume and they fit great. Like that Google Assistant is there if needed. Mine are pairs to my pixel 5. Work great!

I went through two sets of these. The first was cutting in and out at home. I liked them so much, I exchanged them to try again instead of just returning them. The second pair was fine at home. When I went outside for a walk, the cutting out started. It's too often. It makes listening to music impossible. I did seek help from Google Support and they walked me through resetting them. It didn't help. I also had the latest software as of Sept 1, 2020. Everything else about these buds is awesome. I am disappointed. They look good, feel good, sound good (when not cutting out), and the Google Assistant integration is tight. So responsive. You can give them a try and see if you experience the cutouts. If you don't, great buds! (I use a Pixel 4XL... should have worked)

      Hi PaulQ,

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us on Pixel Buds. We totally understand it is a disappointing experience to have audio cutouts.

We've recently released a firmware update (v552) that helps fix the audio cutout every 1 minute 50 seconds.

We’re continuously working to improve Pixel Buds and your feedback helps us immensely in the process. If you have any other concerns or questions, we'd be happy to help here: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp madebygoogle

I'm a big fan of these buds. The touch functionality is the most intuitive of any buds I have used. Love the Google Assistant integration. There were some bugs at the beginning, but some of that may have been attributed to the Moto Z I used before. Recently updated to a OnePlus 8T and the range and interference has greatly improved. Battery life was NOT the rated 5 hours states on the box. I used to be lucky to get a little over 2 of continuous use. Currently they do last long enough for a flight from NYC to Dallas (3.5 hrs) with about 20% still left. Sound quality is very good. Bass is deep, but not overpowering. Google did a good job tuning the sound. Love the form factor as well. Switch between theses and the JLab ANC buds and got reminded how small these buds are. Solid choice, though I wish they came with some active noise cancelling for the price.
