I have a Pixel phone. I went through two pairs of these.
The cutouts are too frequent to be acceptable. As much as I desperately wanted these to work and like them, all the cutting out ruined them.
I went through two sets. The first pair had the periodic 1-2 minute repeating cutout that many have reported. I contacted Google, we did the whole reset, etc. It worked for a few hours then it started again. I decided I like everything else about them so much that I exchanged hoping I would get a "good" pair.
The second pair didn't do it nearly as much. In fact, using them at home, it was so infrequent that I was ready to keep them. I was very happy about it. Then, I went outside for a walk. They cut out more than the first pair. Mostly, the left one cutting off this time but I lost both too. I couldn't even get through one song. I thought maybe it couldn't handle my phone in my pocket so I held it. It kept happening. I even turned off WiFi... like that would be a realistic option.
Just no. I'm done. Too much money. Why is it so hard for Google to make headphones that stay connected? I have had a lot of headphones and none have cutouts like this.
ON THE PLUS SIDE... sound good, amazingly responsive touch controls, tight Google Assistant integration, some neat AI, comfortable, sit flush with the ear... everything else is great! That's all wonderful if you can actually listen to music smoothly.
To put this in perspective, I got the Galaxy Buds Live. I think I heard a quick cutout one time in hours of listening. I even walked away from my phone. Not nearly as Google but they work. These were my other option for headphones with a little openness to them.
Bottom line, if you still want to buy them, make sure you test them at home, outside, and any other place you plan to use them. If they work for you, I'm jealous.

These are the worst ear buds I've ever purchased. The Bluetooth distance is weak and they lose connection to the phone randomly. They are always dying.

They sound decent and are comfortable but that's where the good things stop. Basic track control functionality (pause/play, restart track) didn't work on either my iPhone or my MacBook. While I understand these are primary geared toward Android devices - specifically the Pixel line - they are still a Bluetooth headphone and basic things like track control should work regardless. Only headphone in the dozens I've owned and/or tried that botched something so basic. Research online indicates I'm the only one experiencing this.

These are pretty terrible. They have a lot going for them aesthetically, and the charging system is great, and the fit is great... But at the end of the day they don't do what they are designed to do. This unit is plagued with problems that are well known, just hit Google. Back to the drawing board on these, hopefully the new version is better with Bluetooth drop offs, connectivity etc. Issues like that make even the coolest earbuds unusable. Returned.

There was an immediate and constant static in the right ear bud. This turned out to be a widespread issue amongst users, and it didn't improve even after a firmware update. The buds were painful to wear for even a few minutes, and the sound quality was comparable to headphones a fraction of the price.
I can't believe Google put out this product, and are charging this much for it. Do yourself a favor, and find a brand that has more experience in wireless headphones.
