I will start that when these work they are great, picked up a pair back in June 2020 and by Oct the left bud stopped working. Google replaced them and now the left bud is not working again.
Unfortunately when I purchased the 2 year Geek Squad protection was not an option. Wish I waited till it was for they are easy to work with and I could have replace for a different brand.

Concept seems great and I was looking forward to having Google Brand headphones but I can't use these. I turn my head and it cuts out, I walk with them and the connection cuts out. If I sit perfectly still put my phone on the table with nothing blocking between my phone and headphones then it works better. Hoping they create a patch to fix otherwise such a waste of money...

If you're looking for a simple set of headphones and you happen to have an android device these are a great option. They may not have the best sound in the world but its better than most cheap earbud headphones I've used in the past. The options that are available for sound and adjustments if you have an android device are nice to have and add just a little more value for what you get. Sound quality is good, but not the best, however, for totally wireless earbuds I would say the sound is fairly good. You get a decent amount of bass and the buds fit your ears well as long as you have the proper end on them for the size of your ears.
As for fit and comfort, they fit my ears well once I swapped out the rubber end piece that is included with the headphones in the box for the proper size. The only thing I've noticed though is that with my ears extended wear time can start to be uncomfortable near the bottom of the earbuds. I have a feeling this is just a side effect of my ears being a strange shape but it might be something to think about if you have a slightly strange shaped ear. The little rubber tip on the top does do a good job of holding the bud in your ear however it also has the side effect of making it a little difficult to remove the bud from your ear when you want to.
The only strange thing I noticed was if you happened to cover one of your ears with the earbud in the sound would fluctuate up and down rapidly almost like the feature where they adjust the sound depending on outside noise did not know how to handle that instance. This is a non-normal use case I feel as I work in an environment where I need to cover one ear or the other so it can tend to be a little annoying at times but if I'm not doing that the sound was steady and worked as I expected.
If I had one real complaint it would be that there is not an available iPhone app for the extra features you get with the android app or built-in if you have a Pixel phone. This kind of limits some of the functionality that you get if you solely use iOS devices. That is one thing to think about if you are considering these earbuds. They seem to work fine sound wise and the tap gestures work ok but you can't change any of the settings or the device name unless you have an android device to connect to.

Working from home during the pandemic has changed my relationship with technology. Some things that I used vigorously but strictly during my commute have basically been put in cold storage, while other devices that hardly got any use in the past are now essential tools that are only removed to recharge. I tried Google’s Pixel buds out to see where in the spectrum these would land.
For in-ear buds, they’re comfortable enough. They use the “push and turn” method of securing themselves into your ear, with a curved little rubber arm to rest in your “ear bowl” to keep from falling out. They are secure enough to not slip out while on a walk around the neighborhood or doing chores around the house, but occasionally one will wiggle its way out of its snug little hole, causing a slight panic. I wouldn’t recommend these for biking or cruising on the ol’ electric scooter.
The audio quality is really quite nice on these. While listening to music, the sound takes up a lot of perceived space, the bass has surprising depth, and instruments have clear separation. Phone calls are also clear on both ends. There’s also an adaptive sound setting that will automatically raise or lower the volume based on an increase or decrease in environmental noise.
The main draw for these is really the Google integration. Pairing these to my Pixel phone was as simple as opening the case while it was close enough and it was automatically detected, paired, and connected. The usual Google Assistant features are there, including the voice activated trigger commands. There’s some sort of special jaw detection going on so that it knows when I’m speaking and when I’m not. I tried having my wife put her mouth right next to mine and do the “ok Google” trigger to see if it would make my earbuds chime with recognition, but because they didn’t detect me moving my mouth it didn’t register despite the sound coming from where it is supposed to (it did trigger her phone and the Google Home Hub in the dining room). I tried it, and it caused the chime in my ear, though the Home Hub ultimately was the device that gave me confirmation that the mass of interconnected systems had finished turning off the lights in my bedroom. Surprisingly, the Google Assistant could understand my muffled voice through a mask, and was able to navigate me to the nearest pharmacy. Having it shout bad directions at me and basically being miffed that I was walking the wrong direction down a one-way street is a different story, which in no way diminishes the quality of the earbuds themselves.
In addition to controlling the earbuds through the phone or through voice commands, there are touch controls. These I had a little more issues with. Tapping the phone to play or pause, or to answer a phone call sometimes works, and sometimes it registers as a slide forward/up and raises the volume. I have the hardest time getting it to register a press and hold to initiate the voice commands, as sometimes it only recognizes a tap, starting up a song that I had left on pause to answer a work call. Thankfully these can be turned off, as I ended up either triggering the commands on accident or getting the wrong gesture detected more often than actually getting what I wanted done.
I can really see wearing at least one of these in my ear for most of the day, if only to get notifications while doing other things and leaving my phone on my desk. The low profile design makes it so I can keep it in while still wearing a set of cans that I usually keep hanging around my neck to answer work calls routed through my home computer. While the translate function is pretty cool, I really don’t see myself being able to use it any time soon. If the gesture detection was better, these would be absolutely perfect. Maybe in a future update?

I bought these knowing about this issue but didn't realize how bad.
They drop out listening to music. I couldn't even listen to one song with this issue. My pixel 4 phone sitting on the table next me. I waited for firmware update 550 to see if this issue was fixed. It was not. I am not paying $180 for something that has connection issues.

They are great when they work. They keep disconnecting every so often and have cutout when listening to music. Even after replacements and updates have been issued Google seems to not accept how this product is incomplete. If you are interested in getting the Pixel Buds I would recommend you wait until they updated and working perfectly.

Hi Jesus,
Thanks for letting us know about your experience with Google Pixel Buds. We're really sorry you encountered an audio cutout with them. We're aware of this issue thanks to the helpful reports of our users like you. Our teams have investigated it and we've recently released a firmware update (v552) to help improve this issue.

Pixel Buds offer spotty connection to phone, with one or both buds dropping the link so that I need to ask my phone to "forget" them in order to reconnect. I need to do this several times a week.
Although Google says they are aware of this, I've seen no improvement after promised update to address the issue was resolved.

What a shame. The pair I received was plagued with bugs. Audio would cut out frequently while outside and music would drop out/skip after every 110 seconds of play (google reddit pixelbuds 2 110 sec cut out).
Not worth your $$ until Google released an updated model or can patch the bugs. Skip these and look elsewhere.
