Now, I've been using the pixel buds for about a week or so now and I thoroughly enjoy them. I have issues keeping earbuds in my ear and also having them feel comfortable at the same time, over long periods of time they tend to irritate my ear canal and I just need to take them out less than half an hour after having them however with the pixel buds I do not feel like that. I can easily wear the earbuds for one or two hours without feeling the need to take them out due to irritation of my ears at all. The sound quality is nothing to boast about however they do sound rather good and get decently loud. The touch controls are intuitive and extremely responsive to touch, I rarely have any issues with incorrect touch inputs.
If you have any android phone with android 6 or greater these are the earbuds to get.

First off, these are too expensive for what you get. Not because they lack ANC or nicer features offered by other options at the price point (or slightly higher), but because they are very unreliable. The obvious direct competitors are the AirPods at this price and these simply do not offer the same reliability. Which is unfortunate because when these do work, they are better. Good sound quality for this type of earbud (my preference leans towards the closed bud with the benefit of passive noise cancellation), decent enough microphone for calls, PERFECT aesthetics between the buds and case, easy set up on Pixel devices. When they are good, they're great. But the random dropouts and disconnects or the left bud not connecting at all when taking it from the case is just so frustrating. Assistant is hit or miss, but that could just be a personal issue. Really tired of Google's approach to selling hardware at a premium price and consumers having to wait for updates to solve standard usability issues.

Got these to use with my Pixel 3a. They are awesome! Super easy to use and installation was a snap. They are very comfortable to have in ear for a while (most day). Sound is clear. Lower/higher volume is very easy to do by just swiping or tapping to play/pause. They keep their charge for longer periods than I expected. Very satisfied with my purchase.

The Pixel Buds came two days prior to the delivery date given!!! The Buds pair easily with Bluetooth devices. I will say the music quality is nice and loud. As others have reviewed, there is bass but more would not hurt. The voice quality on calls seems to be clear on both sides. The only complaint is battery charge could be longer. The upside is that you can use one at a time while charging the other one in the case without losing any functions with one Bud.

Earbuds have great sound, and are very comfortable over long periods of time.
However, there is noticeable static when volume is low and the earbuds are active and the earbuds cut out randomly on occasion during use.
Very much wanted to like them, but the issues meant a return.

We’re sorry your Pixel Buds fell short of your expectations. We wanted to let you know that we’ve been working hard to improve and have rolled out a recent update that should decrease the static you described. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future. Thanks!

Coming from Bose wired earbuds to these truly wireless earbud was a great transitions. The sounds quality is great but the volume dose not get as loud but its not a huge concern because the buds seal well. The google assistant works great and very easy use use. Its very convenient when doing hard work and you don't want to touch the buds or your phone.

Good Headphones For A Pixel Device

After testing them for a couple of weeks, I believe these headphones are a must for any pixel owner. Most of the bead reviews I read came from non pixel devices and the good ones were from pixel owners. The headphones are perfectly designed for the phone. It delivers a decent sound and they connect automatically without any setup necessary. The adaptive sound feature really does work and the volume changes slightly so I can hear others talking to me. The only feature that didn't work too well was the translation feature using Google translate, but it's not that big of a deal to me.
My only complaint about these headphones are that the left ear piece doesn't fit well in my ear which will cause the device to read as if I took it out of my ear; which results in a power off and pausing video or music. I think that may be the connectivity problem I read about from others. After using them for a few weeks, I've learned how to position them so the problem doesn't happen that much anymore.
Overall good headphones. Probably best equivalent for air pods for a pixel device. But they are more comfortable than Air pods in my opinion.

These earbuds are very good. I love the fit and ability to do activities with them in and not worry about them falling out. Sound quality is good and life of the charge is as well. I'm not on them constantly all day but do utilize them multiple times a day. I have only had to plug in the case for charging twice and I have had them for about a month.

After buying my Pixel 5 I had to get the Pixel Buds. I love how they nest in your ear and don't fall out. The sound quality is great for calls or music and the case recharges your buds in a short period of time. The case is stylish and easy to open and close. I bought the Almost Black model and it looks great with my Pixel 5.

I'm using these with a Pixel 4 and pairing couldn't be simpler. They're always connected to your phone before you're even able to get both buds in your ears and ready to go. The case and build quality are really solid and battery life has been solid. They're not active noise cancelling, but do a decent job of cutting out background noise on fit alone.

The sound is great and touch controls are very convenient. They lose connectivity far too often and don't fit snug in my ear. I've tried all the additional ear buds but they still slip out. Can't recommend for anyone who would use them while working out.

So, I'm a HUGE fan of Google, but I'll still be honest in reviewing this.
These sound amazing, I haven't experienced such crystal clear audio in any of the other headphones out in the market. But, few people like me who have a manufactur defect with their ears can't get hold of these. xD ,while i go for a run, these fall off my ear so quickly.
While adjusting the volume for the music/call by swiping right or left on the earbud, it sometimes comes out of my ear, so have to be veryyyy gentle and focus on where I am swiping.
Also, I think it shouldn't be priced at $180, I personally think it should cost around $140-$150.
Overall - I recommend this product, until and unless if you can't hold any earbuds in your ears like me.

These are my first Wireless earbuds. Paired with Samsung Galaxy S20+.
The Good:
Sound quality is actually pretty good, microphone on calls was fairly clear i 'm told. Fit was very comfortable and secure. I walk a lot and ride a bicycle several hours, a couple times per week, no problem with them staying in. I like that they work independent of each other.
The Bad:
Connections issues, very poor. Turn my head too much and the further ear would lose connection. Put phone in back pocket, lose connection. When connecting to computer, the mic worked some days, others very broken.
2 stars based on the connection issues, would have been 1 star if the fit wasn't so perfect.

I have a $100 gift certificate so only paid about $80. Based on that they are good, but I would not have pad full price for it. Sound is good. I like the charging case - not having to fiddle with connecting each ear piece is real nice. Fits well. Haven't tried exercising in them yet though. Battery life could be better. Could barely make it through the whole Hamilton soundtrack before it had to recharge.

Sound quality is great. Build quality is amazing. Touch controls are super responsive and accurate, even when you're outside walking and trying to swipe for volume controls during motion. Not quite as comfortable to stuff in the ears compared to the Airpod build however, but I will say that Pixel buds are definitely going to be way easier to clean because of their form factor.

The bottom line (for me): I was excited for these buds, as I am deeply integrated into the Google software/hardware environment (Pixel phone, numerous Home/Nest devices, etc.). I kept them for about a month, but ultimately returned them, as widely publicized issues revolving around connectivity were ultimately unbearable. I had a real issue paying almost $200 for the privilege of being a beta tester for Google, after consistently submitting feedback on the app after every audio cutout, for Google to say "an update is coming....sometime...maybe" When Google actually does fix the issues, maybe I'll repurchase and give them another chance, but for now, I would steer clear of these buds.
The good:
-Initial setup was a breeze- literally took seconds (on a Pixel). Pop open the case and tap a few buttons on your phone.
-Sound quality was fairly good
-in-ear detection is great to automatically pause/stop music when you take the buds out of your ear
-I have no doubt that Google will improve the product over time with feature drops and firmware updates
-touch features are great- volume control, pause/play, and Google assistant all on the same touch surface. This is the single feature that has kept me from buying other buds.
-The buds stay in place remarkably well, and are very minimalist- barely noticeable from directly in front of somebody.
So-so:
-comfort was iffy, but I realize that that will vary from person to person. The buds themselves (not the tips) are a little bit too big for my ears
-there is a faint hiss in the buds when music isn't playing. This was marginally improved with firmware update 296 but is still there.
The bad:
-connectivity. Apparently this is not the case for everybody, but on my pair, the buds consistently cut out. Sometimes it was one bud. Sometimes it was both buds intermittently. Sometimes it wasn't a total loss of connectivity but the sound suddenly got weird, and I had to kill whatever app I was using and restart it. In the end, this is the reason I returned the buds.
-firmware updates. Google has since explained how the process works, but it's still awful. The app will show "update available," and then there's no indication of if it's downloaded, if it's installing, anything at all. It's supposed to be automatic, but I had an update available for an entire day before it actually got installed.

Reviews mention intermittent connection issues and I've personally hardly experienced them. When I do, it's a minor inconvenience, but it doesn't outweight the excellent sound and fit that these earbuds offer. I've since upgraded to the Pixel Buds Pro, though I'll keep these around as a good backup.

Google converted a long-time Bose customer

I love these, and I wear earbuds a lot. I've been a loyal Bose customer for a long time, but my last three pairs of Bose wireless earbuds have fallen apart (typically at the physical button). I decided to try these, since these do not have a physical button (touch capacitive) so I'm guessing they will hold up a little better. I'm also a long-time Pixel owner, so them having extra features with my Pixel is a plus.
I was worried about the audio quality, as a former Bose enthusiast, but I'm perfectly happy with these earbuds, the difference is negligible. Plus these are sleek and much less bulky. They were a little pricey, but are reasonable at least compared to buying Bose every year or so, like I was.

The buds easily pair to my Pixel and has many features. It's not going to beat any heavy bass headphones, but if you want buds within the pixel ecosystem and want the google assistant ready along with something good enough for podcasts and regular music lovers, you'll be happy with it. The fins can help the buds stay in ear even if you have messed up ears due to contact sports.

I was impressed w/the pixel buds from the day I bought them for my child. I love the fact that when they are paired w/the phone you can see the battery life percentage of the case & each bud individually. Below I have listed several pros & cons.....
Pros:
style , comfort , & sound quality are great
Cons:
Doesn't have noise cancellation
