This review is for the 32GB version of Pixel XL in quite silver. The Pixel is Google first take to provide an end to end phone by designing both the hardware and the software and it doesn’t disappoint you one bit! The phone looks gorgeous and very sleek to look at. I love the two tone designing at the back. The fingerprint reader at the back also is more convenient then the readers at the front. The phone comes packed with so many features that blows away all the competition. With the best in class camera as measured by DxoMark ( the industry standard in comparing lenses and cameras) and the fastest and best android, there is nothing wrong in the phone. The google assistant is basically SIRI on drugs :) as it goes much further than any AI system that I have seen or used in the past. The touch screen to me just means the the screen responds in a smooth fashion. The touchscreen on the Pixel is sweet, very fast and responsive. The display is vivid with nice details. Another very useful feature is that the phone comes with a dongle which you attach to your existing phone and lets you transfer everything very quickly and smoothly. Basically the new phone becomes easy to set up in less than 5 min. The only drawback to the phone is its price. With a price tag of $800, the one plus 3 does look like a very very good alternative at only $400 and essentially the same hardware but you will not get the ‘pure’ android experience. However if price is an issue then OP3 is definitely an option. However with VR ready hardware, this phone is definitely the phone for the future (2017) and OP3 is the phone for the present (2016).

Google has done an excellent job designing this phone, I have enjoyed using it over the past month.

This is the best "android" phone ever. Notice I said android, not among all smart phones. This is my second android phone. I owned one back in 2011 and then switched to iPhone and never looked back since I never felt a need. But Pixel proves to be a great competitor. It resembles a lot with the iPhone, at least look wise. This is the first smart phone designed, built, and released by google which means they had total control over its hardware and software. That is why I think they could have done little better job in designing the phone. There's a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone which is really annoying, specially when it is lying on its back. You will have to pick up the phone and search for the sensor with your index finger in the beginning but once you get hang of it, I'm sure it will be easy. Battery life is amazing. On top of that, if your battery is fully drained out, it will only take about 45 minutes to get it to charge fully. That's impressive. The ability to have two apps side-by-side on one screen, called multi-window, is one such example. For apps that support it, holding the overview button places one app above the other, or side-by-side in landscape orientation, with a slider in the middle to change the split. Google pixel claims to have the best camera ever made in a smart phone which I would challenge. It is good for sure but not the best. For one, the camera does not have the optical image stabilization ability. It has only one speaker at the bottom. Google Photos on the Pixel comes with free, unlimited full resolution photo and video backup, not just up to 16MP and 1080p video, which is awesome. Apple should be looking into this. This phone is not waterproof, which is quite surprising considering how google has launched it in direct competition with iPhone 7 which indeed is waterproof. Overall, it is a good phone but a bit expensive. If you are looking for an android phone, go for it.

I bought the phone primarily for use with daydream headset and to compare with samsung S7 edge with the samsung gear VR. Although I like the hand controller (as samsung does not have any) - I have to say that daydream still seems very buggy and immature. It very often gets into a state where you can't select anything with the controller, and you have to reboot. I have also had crashes and reloads. Can't comment on other aspects of the phone

I love this phone, wasn't to sure at first. I've been a note phone lover for years till now.

The only thing I can think of is I bought it to soon. Now they are giving them away or for as low as $10. Otherwise it is a pretty good phone..
