Just sractch the code and fire away. If you redeem on your phone you can take a picture and it'll scan it (I THINK). But either way, the code wasn't this crazy string of letters/numbers and was separated every 4 digits like a credit card. So it was really easy to follow.

This gift card was a good way to give money for the Google Play store without having to provide a credit card. It limits the spending to just the amount on the card. The alpha numeric code on the back was long and the nine year old boy I gifted missed a letter and could not get it to work. After looking at it myself and inputting the missing character, he was able to use the card and was delighted to make some in game purchases with his new credits.

This is a good way to order this product. Most of the time it works. Overall, it is reliable to order the card this way.
