Absolutely ideal for accessing/controlling my Google Smart Home devices without interrupting whatever I'm watching or having to pick up my phone. UHD 4k and Dolby Atmos both stream flawlessly [no buffering] utilizing the much-needed hardwire Ethernet port for these formats.

Love the google tv OS. Had it on my Sony and bought the Google streamer for my Samsung mainly use it for my IPTV app that really doesn't work well with Samsung TV OS all in all it's a great device for the price in my humble opinion much better than Apple TV.

Solid upgrade to Chromecast, and a wonderful new Google TV streaming device. Google TV is starting to get a little loaded with lots of ads and promoted content, but it's still an A+ streaming setup, and I prefer it over others, and it plays well with Pixel devices. Be warned, no HDMI cable in the box. New remote is nice and easier to use, and harder to lose. Solid Google design and quality.

I've been using my built in smart tv features for a few years and i just got tired of seeing ads for apps and tv shows i didn't subscribe to all over my home page. this new Google stremer only shows me what i want to see. 5 Stars

Love it, makes my older Sony tv very snappy and it is my preferred tv to watch over my much newer Sony in living room

Excellent product. Much more memory than Google's previous streamers, much faster Wifi and sports threads.

Decent midrange performance, SOC is still underpowered comparing to the apple and Nvidia streaming boxes. Wish google released a product to compete with these devices directly at the high end of hardware. New googletv features and the remote finder are a welcome addition. Onboard ethernet is gigabit, which is great. My wife likes the color, lets be honest that's the only metric that matters.

Definitely an upgrade over the Chromecast but not by much. I like how they improved the UI experience and the smoothness when scrolling on the homepage. I also like the features like the home app and the streaming quality is solid.

I own four of the Chromecast w/ Google TV (4K) and decided to give the Google TV Streamer (4K) a try. I am definitely not disappointed. The wired ethernet connection is what sold me as I had several issues with the Wi-Fi staying connected on the old units. This new unit is much faster and has more storage space. Looks like I will be updating the three older ones soon.

I travel for work, and some hotels don't have the streaming services I want, so I bought this, and it works great.

I absolutely love the new Google TV streamer! I upgraded from the older Google TV box, and the difference is night and day. The new device is noticeably faster, making browsing and streaming a smoother experience. Plus, the updated Google Home integration is a great addition—it makes controlling my TV with voice commands so much more seamless. Highly recommend this upgrade!

Seamless and intuitive, setup takes a bit when first connected but starts up quickly afterwards

I wanted to like it, I really did. I have a connected google household, and I thought this would fit right in. I did like that you can see all of your devices on the screen, that was pretty cool. The setup was pretty easy. However, I don't like the UI compared to the roku ultra. I like the app/tile setup better on the roku. The google streamer has all of the tiles listed horizontally. You have to keep scrolling right to get to the tile you want. It's alot easier to scroll down with the vertical and horizontal 4x4 tiles on roku. Oh, and there is the video quality which was a deal breaker for me. I turned on "Reacher" The show broadcasts in hdr10+. The show looks glorious on my 85 inch sammy. I started to notice every 5 or 6 seconds that the video would look like slow motion for a second or 2 and then it would be normal again. This happened again and again. I had it hooked up via ethernet so no problems with my internet speed. I next tried a movie, "Kraven the hunter". The same thing started happening again. That was enough for me. I am returning this. I know that the google streamer, and the roku ultra have different brand chips in them. Maybe this is the reason that the google product doesn't stream smoothly. All I know is I hooked up the roku again, and I have flawless smooth video again. Maybe there are still some kinks to work out with this streamer as it is only a few months old. Maybe I will give this a try again in a year or 2.

Does what it's supposed to do overall so no real issues there. Some apps work better than others but that's not really a fault of the device. Easy to set up as well.

Great way to make my old tv perform as well as the new tv.
