I wanted to like it, I really did. I have a connected google household, and I thought this would fit right in. I did like that you can see all of your devices on the screen, that was pretty cool. The setup was pretty easy. However, I don't like the UI compared to the roku ultra. I like the app/tile setup better on the roku. The google streamer has all of the tiles listed horizontally. You have to keep scrolling right to get to the tile you want. It's alot easier to scroll down with the vertical and horizontal 4x4 tiles on roku. Oh, and there is the video quality which was a deal breaker for me. I turned on "Reacher" The show broadcasts in hdr10+. The show looks glorious on my 85 inch sammy. I started to notice every 5 or 6 seconds that the video would look like slow motion for a second or 2 and then it would be normal again. This happened again and again. I had it hooked up via ethernet so no problems with my internet speed. I next tried a movie, "Kraven the hunter". The same thing started happening again. That was enough for me. I am returning this. I know that the google streamer, and the roku ultra have different brand chips in them. Maybe this is the reason that the google product doesn't stream smoothly. All I know is I hooked up the roku again, and I have flawless smooth video again. Maybe there are still some kinks to work out with this streamer as it is only a few months old. Maybe I will give this a try again in a year or 2.

works as intended! i needed a streamer for my tv since chromecast no longer works as intended (google says it does, but it doesn't - planned obsolescence and what have you). all my apps slowed down, would buffer and freeze, or crash all together. ALL my subscribed streaming services became unwatchable. so i bought the new google streaming solution - this tv streamer which is way more expensive than the chromecast - and wouldn't you know it, now all my streaming apps work again.

TV has been real slow lately with all my streaming services and this really helped ease that process as well as giving off amazing video quality.

Personally feel like it's better than the normal rokus , just keep the box at a good hight so the remote can get full signal

Much better than the previous device, and there's a find remote feature finally! I've got an ADHD wife and son who never put the remote in the same place twice.

Design is very minimalistic, and the remote has a simple design which makes it easy to understand for any user. For consumers who've never used Chromecast I'd say the setup instructions can be more clear. Overall the casting quality is really good, and compared to previous Chromecast models, it's a major improvement.

I liked the google tv experience and this gives me it without any slow down or jankyness and compliments my tv oss with better apps

I own four of the Chromecast w/ Google TV (4K) and decided to give the Google TV Streamer (4K) a try. I am definitely not disappointed. The wired ethernet connection is what sold me as I had several issues with the Wi-Fi staying connected on the old units. This new unit is much faster and has more storage space. Looks like I will be updating the three older ones soon.

Love my google Tv. got all the streamings and i get to control all my devices as well. Be able to turn off lights in the house that i forgot and watch tv. its great. easy to use.

i like google TV streamer(4K) i wish the price would go down

I absolutely love the new Google TV streamer! I upgraded from the older Google TV box, and the difference is night and day. The new device is noticeably faster, making browsing and streaming a smoother experience. Plus, the updated Google Home integration is a great addition—it makes controlling my TV with voice commands so much more seamless. Highly recommend this upgrade!

Works great. seamless installation and excellent upgrade from the chromecast dongle. picture is crystal clear, sound is awesome... no complaints highly recommend it.

A little steep in price for what it is, especially considering it has ads. However, the ease of use is great. The seamless adaptation between all my devices is great. I like that I can control my Google home from the tv. I have a Samsung TV and I didn't want to connect it to the internet or use Tizen so here we are.

Google is faster, better UI and more options than my firestick. easy to set up and awesome to control with my google home devices!

Has more storage than the chromecast streamer which is nice so you can actually have all the apps you want. I just dont like that on the remote itself they kinda changed the layout of the buttons from the chromecast. Nothing bad, just annoying to get used to
