Google TV does arguably have the best user interface compared to other smart TV/streaming devices, however this definitely has some pitfalls. For example, it does not have wifi 6, so I'm homes with many devices, the interference can cause notable latency and occasionally affect video quality. The video decoding times are also not great, but that's only really relevant in the context of gaming, one of the reasons I purchased this item to serve as the client for LAN game streaming.

This works as intended. Was thinking of getting the Apple TV but you can’t beat the price and quality.

I love my Google TV! Really fast and I can get whatever app I want

This product is amazing. This is the 2nd one we brought. The smart tv are slower now after 4 years. This helps a lot.

Great so far, would recommend it. We had to purchase because our smart TV no longer had memory and we have not had a problem since.

Haven't had this long enough to rate 5 stars but it works well. If you like the original dongle style then I think you will like this. A few added features that I have yet to use but it is noticeably faster which is my biggest complaint about the dongle.

I like it … but I bought it more for integration of other Google products so I haven’t been able to fully explore that. I will update my review once that is completed. Setting up Google products are always more tedious than expected, but once set up it’s always good

Besides the standard channels it is easy to download other websites and use them.

So far we like the Google TV Streamer 4K . Haven't had for very long but so far we like it better than the FireTV that we were using. Better/more content and options and ability to configure Home screen than the limited (compared to this Google TV device) FireTV. So far, the only issue we have is that we were told that it will only allow one remote, whereas the FireTV allowed 2 remotes so my wife and I could both control it when needed, without throwing the single remote across to where she sits and vice versa. But I would still absolutely recommend because if they could ever resolve being able to use 2 (or more) remotes, it should be able to be handled by an auto update.

I'm glad I upgraded from the previous model added storage, resolution, and capability make it worth the purchase.

I bought this as a replacement for an aging Chromecast. For me, it's been extremely frustrating. The Chromecast was so simple. Just cast from my phone - done! With this device? Nope! As I've seen mentioned in another user's review, this device annoyingly requires a separate Netflix sign in to the app on the device. I tried removing the Netflix app from the device and casting directly from Netflix on my phone, as I would with a Chromecast, but that did not work. I'm forced to use an awkward arrangement with Netflix logged in both on this device and my phone, and the two sometimes seem to conflict. Even the setup was annoying. I had to search the web and then navigate through layers of settings to be able to control audio from my phone's app. I realize there is a separate "remote" in Google Home, but why should I use that when I'm already in the app I want to cast from? Why not just let me control the very basic functions that I always could, and the only ones I need, like Chromecast used to? Many times I want to throw this device against the wall. The device probably has many features that I'm not using, as others leaving high reviews seem to experience. For me, though, it makes me want to scream in frustration almost daily, and I hate that I feel like I was coerced into getting a device with degraded functionality and charged extra for it.

I would have left 5 stars if the streamer was a true nvidia shield replacement. But it is missing full audio codec support to playback ripped blu ray in their full detail. Some files just won’t play properly. It is a nice device, it has plenty of video codecs available, DV HDR10+. It is speedier than last gen but the nvidia shield is still my go to. If you aren’t worried about plex file support and have a Samsung tv, the streamer is a great option for hdr10+ along with the newest Apple TV. It is nice that it runs the latest version of google tv
