Spent an hour troubleshooting and then reached out to their support and was asked to do the same things. They ultimately offered to replace if I sent it back, but the next one I got did the same thing. Hopefully an update will be pushed soon to remedy this, but for now it's a painful experience. Rating as 2 stars because of the excellent remote. Will update review once fixed

Spent $100 to keep it working. 4k worth the dollars

If you like the original dongle style then I think you will like this. A few added features that I have yet to use but it is noticeably faster which is my biggest complaint about the dongle.

The screen goes black in the middle of watching different shows. The sound cuts out. I shouldn't have to toggle through setting after setting just to try to troubleshoot because their their support page refuses to admit this product is faulty. As much as I don't want to, I'm going to have to switch to an apple tv device and will no longer be supporting Google Chromecast products. It's sad to think that the Chromecast use to be such a good product. Now all Google cares about is pushing ads despite the increased price and decreased quality. They also go out of their way to brick earlier version to force you to have to upgrade. If you are in search of a tv streaming device, consider other options that aren't Google products.

It has its limitations but a good overall product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s a good Chromecast box, however, I bought it so that I could get faster speeds using Ethernet not realizing that the WiFi works better. The Ethernet port only allows 100mbps so I don’t use it as WiFi has a faster connection. Overall.. there little advantage over the smaller cheaper device. I’d say if it’s on sale then get it if you are in the market.

Onn had a better device registration and setup process than Google. Speed, performance, remote, and supported devices were all superior.
