As it turns out this product is cheaper than the insignia item. The product is everything it's supposed to be , i only rated it so low because i couldn't find this adapter at my local store.

Sound wise I guess it’s okay but the volume control on my Bose headphones don’t work on the iPad. I have to use the iPad volume control. That’s pretty disappointing.
