My connection

Here is where this great adapter comes in. Simply plug the male part of this adapter into the iPad (USB-C) and then the headphones into the female 3.5mm jack and presto, beautiful sound coming from the iPad. Apple, get your act together and put a headphone jack on your devices. Our entire house is Android so no problem but the exception is my wife's iPad. Anyhow, you'll love this adapter if you do not want to get the Apple Air wireless buds which get great reviews, btw.

Plug and play Aux to USB-C adapter

For the price of only a few bucks more than that adapter, this solved the issue. Lesson learned for that coworker to not cheap out, especially when it’s only 3-4 dollars more expensive.
