My son has an android phone and likes to play music when in my car, so we bought this and it connects easily and works fine. I couldn't find a generic and I think this is overpriced for what it does, but since there aren't any other options, sure, it works well.

I've had it for 3 weeks and I had one moment where it made a strange sound and had to take it out and plug it back in to get it working, but otherwise it's been good.

Why risk 3rd party when 1st party is same price

I was shopping around and most of these were $5 or $6 plus ship, for off brands. Might as well just drop roughly $10 on an official Google piece. So far, no problems at all.
