very good movie for adults and teen kids.. scary..

After reading lots of reviews I didn't have high expectations of this movie and was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed it. My kids are older now and we read lots of the Goosebumps titles when they were young and hadn't been too impressed with all the other efforts to bring them to the screen. I thought the movie did a good job of not trying to translate all the detail from the books and instead focused on the story itself with all the books characters being showcased accordingly. Jack Black is fun in his role and the movie moves at a pace that makes it fun to watch over and over again. I'm sure fans of the books would like to see more of this story with the opportunity to see some of the other books characters in the lead. Its good clean family fun.

If your like me, you're completely fed up with today's "for all ages" mentality. With the exception of Disney and the handful of other media companies, we get fed dumbed down movies, shows, and other media that insults the intelligence of anybody watching it. It's not good for anybody. Goosebumps is (surprisingly to me) one of those movies that is well crafted, well written, AND has something for everyone. Plus, if you are like me and thinks that the regular Jack Black shtick is getting a little tired, then you will be happy to see him tone that way down here but still offer up a funny and likeable performance. I went in expecting this movie to be another throwaway family comedy but left really enjoying it. I recommend it.

Really enjoy the movie itself but if you're buying it for the 3D, don't. Thought it would be a perfect vehicle for 3D but was a pretty lousy conversion.

This was a very exciting film for my 8 year old daughter to watch. Some of the creatures gave her a good jump, but none of them were so scary as to give her nightmares. There was also plenty of humor that had her laughing out loud. She enjoyed all of the characters, but her favorite by far were the Gnome people, she absolutely loved them. As a lifelong Goosebumps fan myself, it was very nice to sit back with her and enjoy something form my childhood with her. This is definitely a film that the entire family can sit back and enjoy TOGETHER!

Bought this at my wife's request as she was a fan of the original. I thought it was a good watch but I am extremely partial to Jack Black. The 3D was pretty good to average on this. As 3D becomes more and more niche I will miss it. I will rock my 3D blu and plasma TV as long as it has life. I am planning on upgrading to 4K soon but 3D will always have a place in my home. Sound quality on this release was solid.

When I saw this movie for such a good price, I thought “Sounds too good to be true” because it also came with the digital copy. Me and my daughter watch movies a lot on my laptop so I almost always insist on getting the dvd/Blu-ray/digital. I was really disappointed when I got home that this did not actually come with the digital copy. I saw another customer had this issue. So Best Buy, please fix this problem so somebody else isn’t as disappointed as I am.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. It is a fun time for the whole family. A few nitpicks: Story wise, I would have preferred if the children were younger. Something more along the lines of Jumanji. Maybe would have made the film that much fun. The 3-D on this feature is just okay. I still prefer it in 3-D, but the only standout 3-D portion of the film is the supermarket scene. Other than that, very lightly used 3-D, which is a shame. But like I said, I would still watch this in 3-D over non 3-D.

When I was young and I use to see the Goosebumps shows on TV. And it was on of my favorite shows to watch after school. I also read a few of his books too. So when the movie came out I had to go see it. I like the way that they brought all of my favorite characters back into one movie. The best character and for me the most scary has to be Scrappy. This puppet is just amazing but scary as well. So when the movie came out I just had to go and buy it. Its one of those movies that can be seen over and over again.

I bought this because my kids had watched it multiple times on Netflix. Wanted to have a physical copy to take with us to the places we don't have internet. The only problem i had was that there was a sticker on the outside saying that it came with the digital version also. When i opened it up no code. I contacted Sony and after jumping through a few hoops they supplied me with a code in a pretty quick manner.
