Utilizing monsters from R.L. Stine's famous Goosebumps series (and including a cameo from Stine himself), this movie follows three teenagers and R.L. Stine on their quest to save the town from myriad monsters (that they themselves unleashed). Though definitely directed to ward the older teen crowd, any kid who likes monster movies will find this entertaining.

I had not heard of these books at all but I love Jack Black and I wasn't disappointed. Storyline is great and effects same but what you want in a DVD like this is great sound, spatial delivery and dynamics. You can always count on Danny Elfman to deliver and he did. Crank up your surround sound and hope you have DTS. YOUR IN FOR A GREAT RIDE.

I love Jack Black and was curious as to how he would pull off his role in Goosebumps, and I must say I thought he did an admirable job. The effects were quite good for the most part. The praying mantis was so cool that I thought he deserves his own movie ! There is a romantic element that was particularly sweet and heart-felt. All in all, a fun ride !

Not sure what I was expecting- maybe that I had grown up since reading the Goosebumps books when I was a kid, and I would surely not be scared to watch a movie..YEAH RIGHT! Creepy creatures come alive from the books in this movie, and I found myself intrigued enough to finish watching it- DO NOT WATCH BEFORE BED- lucid dreams to follow if so:)

In the vein of Gremlins, Back to The Future, and other fun, feel-good movies, Goosebumps was a lot of fun to watch. Very personable film with lots of good interaction between Zack and Champ and R.L. Stine's daughter, Hanna. Lot of "old school" film with very believable CGI effects! Scary? Kind of. Campy? You bet! Enjoyable? 2 thumbs up!

I didn't have high hopes from the previews, but, it is a fantastic movie that was better than expected. It brought back all of the characters you know and love from the Goosebumps books and shows. The movie looks great on Blu-ray. Jack Black gives an awesome performance as R.L. Stine and the rest of the cast plays their roles incredibly well.

I read a few Goosebumps books decades ago in elementary school, so it was interesting to see the film adaptation. It's a family film. I recognized the ventriloquist dummy character as I had actually read that book. The Israeli descent female child actress who played the girl in The Giver is in this as well. Jack Black is funny of course.

I myself like a good adventurous movie as long as it is somewhat realistic. I liked everything about this movie except the clowns and nomes. They were a little too corny for me, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. I guess I was hoping for another Jumangi which I have enjoyed numerous times and wish they would re-lease it in 3D.

Zach (Dylan Minnette) and his Vice Principle mom Gale (Amy Ryan) move to Madison, Delaware next to the home of R.L. Stine (Jack Black). Through a series of mishaps, Stine's magical books are opened releasing all the monsters from his stories. Stine has a daughter Hannah (Odeya Rush) as our two teens are crushing on each other.

This was an enjoyable blu ray movie. Cant go wrong with jack black

The movie stays very loyal to the roots of the books and the TV series, but it renews some aspects in order to appeal to older fans, but also to kids that have very little knowledge about Goosebumps. You'll see a lot of the Monsters that used to haunt you when you were little, being comedic but also creepy at the same time.

Growing up I refused to read until Goosebumps came out and than you couldn't stop me from reading Goosebump books. This showcases a good amount of the books and brings back great memories just having it in 3D makes it so much sweeter!

Not bad for what it is, it grows on you. Daughter loves it.

I actually did like this movie. It just seemed a little scary for younger kids, but I'm sure the older kids wouldn't care about that. It had a few funny moments in it and a lot of surprises around every turn, but some of the scenes with the special effects wasn't all that great. Overall though, it was a good movie.

My kids of ages 16, 13 and 11, all enjoyed this movie because they have read so many of these books! As a parent, I also enjoyed the movie and it was nice to see a movie set exactly right for their age....not to0 childish or cartoonie but also not an adult movie full of violence or other things not for kids.

If you're looking for a light hearted scary but funny movie, this is the one. Any movie with Jack Black in it is sure to be humorous. Seeing this movie in 3D Blu-ray DVD adds to the visual effects. Be ready to get entertained and enjoy the movie .

I enjoyed this movie. Had a lot of action, although I did feel like it was missing something, maybe a little bit more story line or plot, not sure but something felt a little lacking. Overall though I enjoyed the movie, it was suspenseful, funny, and had a lot of action. It was everything I thought it would be.

This movie was not great for me, but it was for my 10 year old granddaughter, which is who I bought it for in the first place. She just loves it! Not too scary. It's got a lot of action to keep kids entertained. Again, not my favorite, but kids who love to be startled a bit will love it!

The movie plays out very much like the original Jumanji films where creatures from the books invade the real world and they need to be put back. Great characters and a decent story had my kids watching this over and over although they have never read any of the books.

My kids liked the movie... will see the next one too
