Great grip and concept, but used it for 40 min snorkeling in Mexico and spent 120 min trying to get all the water that had leaked into the handle out through the tiny threaded plug in the bottom. 2 Stars because this was probably an anomaly but I'm glad no one let it go in the ocean as it would have been gone along with my new Hero 7.

Worked as expensive, cheaper to get a package that comes with a ton of accessories for same price

I did not like the color, so I returned it for the go pro version, which is much nicer looking.

My GoPro does not fit tightly and tilts during use. Tightening the screw doesn't help.

Is looks great but will be more practical with longer or extended stick

Poor design and the threaded bottom was not threaded. Don’t waste your money without checking it.

Took it to Mexico brand new and swam/snorkeled (not even diving) and filmed with a Hero 7 and the thing filled up with water in about 10 minutes. Had to return it for a different product when we got back. In different circumstances we could have lost the camera. Don't bother.

Lost my gopro , I was in the water for less then 30 minutes and i let go of it for 2 seconds and no where to be found floating . It sank and I didnt end up finding my Gopro good luck if you purchase this product.

If you want audio this is a waste of money. It records a loud clicking noise every time you move it. The strap that holds it has a metal ring and it bangs against itself making a clicking noise that is very loud on the video.

Very first time we used, the handle worked for a few hours fine. Then it took on water. Then it sank in the Lake. Bye Bye brand new GoPro Camera. Don't risk it. Only buy GoPro branded accessories.

I really thought I would like this. But one fatal flaw is the strap connector is made of metal which made the slight hits send a sound right to the camera. All I heard in my videos was the clang of the strap.

This hand grip filled with water the first day. There is no way to drain it. Bestbuy took it back with no issues. Spend a little more and get the genuine GoPro handle.

This is a horrible addition to the GoPro this handle filled with water and I was unable to get the water out.

I took it on a simple snorkeling trip in Mexico and it leaked from the beginning.

Pro: It does float and did not break other than the issues i have described. One time it did come off of my wrist and floated up and I retrieved it, but would have not been recoverable due to the depth of the water when this happened. so the strap can be and issue and or some other sort of safety strapping to your body or diving equipment. Con: 1. Manufacturing Issue with the strap material was routed under the button, so when you push on the button it locks down on the strapping material. 2. The carabiner rattles around and the audio picks it up. So would need to purchase a rubber covered carabiner clip.

The screw snapped on day one, i returned it for the GO PRO version.

I would recommend the go Pro stabilizer then this item

I recently purchased 2 of these and used them for both fresh and salt water diving. Just to test them, while underwater, I let go of them. They immediately floated to the top just like they were supposed to do. The mount is a standard GoPro housing mount and it's adjustable for multiple angles. There is no need to pay nearly double for the "GoPro" branded ones! The only thing I'd like to see would be one with an extendable handle which also floats, and I'd love the see the color a bit brighter (perhaps neon, blaze orange, etc). Yellow is good but can be harder to see on the open water! Overall, it's an excellent mount!

I purchased this from a dive shop in Hawaii before a dive. The Go Pro went on easy and the wrist strap was real easy to use. I felt like the wrist strap was gonna brake from the handle, I wish it felt more secure some how. It was great for my Scuba Diving and to my surprise it floated. The yellow handle is hollow yet made of hard plastic so you can't crush it. I was mad that both Best buys in Hawaii don't carry any Go Poles or Bobbers... Actually they don't carry anything for under water. Not good for an Island where everyone loves being in the Ocean, Go figure.

it's a bit bulky but you don't want something tinny if you are going to use it at a lake or the sea..lightweight and durable...I wish they had more colors though...
