When GoPro discontinued the Karma drone it was only a matter of time before Karma drone batteries would become scarce and DOA issues would start. Karma batteries are likely over 1 year old even when purchased new sealed. These batteries are good for about 15 minutes actual flight time so stock up while you can as these batteries won’t be good for much longer.

When you have the Karma drone. It’s very useful and makes great videos and can see very cool things. But the battery doesn’t last long. If and when you find yourself outside using your drone. You will need a second battery because it will leave you stuck half way if you don’t have a spare.

The battery has a short run time. Usually about 17 minutes. Advertised as 20 minutes which is also pretty short

So the Karma Battery is hit or miss, GoPro has a issue with some of there batteries not fitting in the Karma, other then that the battery is very easy to insert and take out of th drone as long as you ended up with a correct battery.. I went threw 8 to get 3 that would actually fit properly.

Look, GoPro Karma is a great value (no matter what you think about the drone) given the inclusion of the grip and the camera itself. So it's a little bit of a bummer to spend $100 on a battery, but it's worth it, almost necessary. 18 minutes its not long flying a drone on one battery!

Batteries are a necessity and expensive. Save yourself a headache and buy OEM batteries for your GoPro Karma.

Not much to say here, a battery either works well or it doesn’t. This one does what it says, and the price is on par with every other vendor. The nice thing about getting it from Best Buy is the rewards points, the instant gratification and the customer service.

If you have the Karma drone you Need extra batteries. Period. When you launch the drone it will say you have 18.5 minutes but in reality it's about 16 minutes because Karma will return to you with about 2.5 minutes left. If you think of the amount of time driving and then hiking to a location to film, one battery is simply not gonna be enough.

I use three of these batteries with my GoPro Karma drone. Depending on the weather conditions and how you plan on using the drone, you're looking at a max of about 20min in the air per battery. They are quick and easy to switch out and get the drone back in the air in a matter of minutes. I only wish they last longer.

I bought my drone and the extra battery at the same time. if you don't do much or are very good at flying you might not need it, but I found even just for practicing and learning how to fly, one battery isn't enough.

Although this battery is the OEM replacement for my Karma drone that I purchased. I am expecting it to have the same life expectancy as the one included. I have not had a chance to use it yet. But, Best Buy had the best price, by far on this battery.
