The entire GoPro system is so much fun that you never want to put it down. Having a spare battery avoids that disappointment that everyone experiences in the middle of filming when your battery dies.

The battery doesn't really have any pros or cons. It works great in the drone. I have actually purchased a couple of them, because the battery life of the drone is down to about 18-21 minutes.

Battery life is not the longest for the amount the battery is worth. For 100 dollars I wish it was a little longer than 18-20 minutes. If you can pick up a few of these when they are on sale then it's worth it.

The flight time of a fully charged battery is listed as 20 minutes although in practicality is about 15. Without a spare battery it hardly seems with the trip to a safe launch location

This is a GoPro battery for the Karma drone, works just like the battery that came with the Karma bundle. Due to the short run time ~16min you definitely need 1 or 2 extra batteries.

You definitely need to have an extra battery on hand when flying, most of the batteries last around 20 minutes and the drone won’t let you take off when you have very few minutes left on the battery either

A must have to go along with your Karma especially if you are traveling. You don't want to get stuck in the middle of capturing some fun amazing views and your battery dies.

Needed an extra battery for my GoPro drone because one battery only last around 15min. Definitely would recommend getting 2+ batteries for your UAV and this does this trick!

Had to purchase another one because 20 mins of flight isnt that much fun - ad to have it replaced a month after since it didnt communicate with the stabalizer but works well, good go pro service as well.

I bought this 2nd battery when I bought the GoPro Karma Drone. Battery life is approximately 20 minutes so the extra battery is a must have option to have.

I recently purchased my Karma Drone, it is awesome, but 17 mins of fliying is not enough for me, so always make sure you are packing an extra Karma batt. You will thank me!

This drone is a great all around performer but falls short with batter life so an extra batter ensures more flight time to capture the perfect shot

I used this spare battery when flying over water and received a critical low battery warning after about 7 minutes in sport mode. The drone attempted to self land and I was lucky enough to steer it over our boat and catch it by hand out of the air. The battery production date was 09/16 while the one that came included with my drone was 10/16. I've read reports of others having issues with the older battery so be sure to verify the production date when you buy and get the newer batch.

I love my karma but it can only run for a limited time. I bought this so I can just swap the other battery and still continue my project.

You'll get about 20 minutes when fully charged if flying steady. Do a lot of aggressive moves and drains much faster. For the weight, I wish you could get more flight time. Maybe the next gen.

Drones run through battery very quickly and it takes hours to recharge, nothing like having a spare when you are out flying.

This is a must have if you own the GoPro drone. On warm (not hot) days the battery isn’t good, but you will want the extra battery

This battery pack is required for the Karma Drone. Since the battery only lasts 15-20 minutes depending on flight style, multiple batteries are necessary to capture a decent footage.

If you have a, drone, I would recommend getting extra battery. Keep another one charged up because the giant life is only 20 minutes.
