Something's wrong here

Put both batteries in the charger (using a dedicated USB charger rather than charging through the laptop). 7 hours later, the indicators are still orange. After 9 hours the lights went out. Put a battery into the Hero 8 Black and ran through the setup and registering process as well and downloading the app from the app store. After 20 minutes, the battery indicator showed 12 %. 12%??? After 20 minutes??? re you kidding me? Put the second battery in and went outside to test/play around with the video and still settings and after 30 minutes the battery level was at 17%. My 7 year old Hero 3+ Black performs better than this. This is ridiculous.

Not what we thought-my fault...I guess

To charge the battery you need to hook to an external battery if you are in the field.
