Charges 2 batteries at the same time. The spare battery in this kit is a huge plus.

I've only used this once with two batteries. Each battery was at a different percentage (almost depleted). And indicator light comes on when each battery is fully charged. It also comes with a battery. The cord that comes with the charger is the same that comes with GoPro. That's a nice plus considering it might not be a cord you have readily available. This is a must have if you are traveling or just need your batteries charged quicker than in camera.

If you use your Hero 5 for anything more than a few pics or a short video here and there, you are going to run out of battery. Having a second battery and a way to charge both is critical.

You can charge X2 batteries at the same time. You do need an external power supply. Very good quality product.

The GoPro Hero 5 black batteries last a good while. I'm glad I got the Dual charger which allows for quick charging of two batteries it takes about 2 hours. You're definitely going to need more than one battery so might as well get a charger as well.

This is a must have if you plan on using your GoPro for extended periods of time. My wife and I just went on a 5 day cruise and 2 of those days we were off the ship for the entire day doing excursions. With two fully charged batteries, we didn't miss a beat. When we got back to the ship, we were able to charge both while we showered and went to dinner. Batteries were ready to go for the evening festivities. Charger is well worth the investment.

Just what I needed. Compact and fits nice in accessory bag. Knocked off a star because it is not a micro usb cord. Comes with a charger cord but would be nice if it was standard micro usb versus having pack this one too.

For the 7 Black this is a must buy. Having owned a couple GoPro’s I feel like the 7 Black drains the battery the quickest (understandably so due to all the features) ... I was hesitant about buying this before a trip and saved the receipt just in case I ended up not using it. Needless to say I threw the receipt away as soon as I go home. This should be bought as soon as the camera is purchased.

So convienient and easy. I keep two charging and one in the GoPro. Makes it easy for long days of filming.

Charges faster using large Apple iPad charger adapter. Would've like 2 ended usb-c cable for future proof.

This charger has the capability to charge two batteries at the same time. Charging time will depend on how drained the batteries are when beginning the charge process, but normally a couple of hours are needed to fully charge a battery. The charger uses a USB type C connection on the unit and the cable is provided. I ordered an additional battery when I picked up my Hero5, not realizing that the charger also comes with a spare battery!

Very happy with this purchase. Used my Go Pro 7 on a recent trip to Tahiti and the 7 like the other models drains batteries. This was a much needed item as I used the camera all the time. The charger works much faster than just plugging the camera into the wall. This ensures that I always had spare batteries to feed my Go Pro 7. Definitely worth the purchase price. Thx!
