I have used this now in our pool and at the beach. It works as promised. I can let go of the camera and it floats. I also had a poll connect to the camera and it still floated. Best $20 you can spend.

Gopro's can be taken in the water but are not meant to be anchors. This bright orange life jacket will save you some search time if lost in the surf as it will stick out like a sore thumb. Not everything is perfect, but this certainly helps.

the float works great on the camera, but if you want to use the head strap mount (say to film a kayak trip down the river) you can't use the floaty backdooe:(

If you do not have an added flash attachment, this actually works quite well.

If you are going to use your GoPro in deep or murky water this will keep it floating if you drop it. There are videos on YouTube that show it being tested with different GoPro attachments on cameras so you know what it's able to keep afloat.

I was looking for a product that would attach my GOPro camera to my surfboard. I was a little nervous about it becoming detached and losing my camera. This product makes the camera float if that should happen. So far it has worked like it's supposed to!

Dropped my camera from a wave and it floated back up to me thank goodness.

Works great keeps the go-pro afloat and it was the best price I could find.

Although I do not recommend this for the ocean to be 100% safe because of fast moving current, it is perfect when we take the GoPro to the river. We never worry about dropping it because it keeps our GoPro floating right on the surface.

Necessary equipment for taking a GoPro in the water. I like the fact that it came with two different backs for the two different styles of GoPros' It is rare that a product these days will lend itself as an accessory to more than one style product.
