This is a must have accessory for anyone who brings your GoPro near water - especially the beach. This little extra has already saved my Gopro from sinking to the bottom of the ocean. LOVE IT!

If you are attaching to a wakeboard or any other watersports board I would highly recommend. If the Gopro gets knocked off on a rail or something else it is very easy to spot in the water quickly

It works as should. I guy crashed into my surfboard knocking my GoPro off the front mount. Fortunately I had the GoPro Floaty on, easily located my camera floating a couple yards away. Whew!

The floaty back door for my GoPro worked exactly what I needed for for my snorkel trip in Jamaica. It was easy to install. It was a nice touch to include a couple of hand tethers in the package.

We used the floaty with our go pro while diving. With out it the go pro would have just hit the bottom of the pool. The bright orange is easy to find, if you drop it during water activities.

Be very careful about the size of the backdoor before placing the floaty on the door. I placed it on the wrong size backdoor and was not able to use it with my gopro silver because it was too big. I emailed gopro and they were able to mail me a replacement. However it is a great product

It looks to be built nice. I hope to use it soon on a ocean trip we have planned. Works well in the tub!

Please test the proper door BEFORE applying the float to it. There are two doors included for the older and newer versions. This does work very well and was tested in a pool before use.

If you wakeboard or have this near any body of water, this floaty backdoor speaks for itself. If the camera gets knocked off of your board, it stays afloat with this accessory. Perfect buy.

It's nice to know when you have your Hero stuck on the front of your wakeboard and you have that major crash, rest asured that it will be floating nearby and not at the bottom of the lake.

This will not work with the Go Pro Hero Session 5 or 4, unless you have the housing for deep water use! Quality float for the cameras that use the water proof housing.

I bought this for use on my GoPro when on my boat. I've yet to drop my GoPro in the water so I am uncertain if it works or not. This float seems better suited for in water activities rather than when fishing. I don't think the float would keep the GoPro plus the attachments I have on mine afloat.

I bought this as well as a headband camera mount prior to a snorkeling trip, and found out that the float gets in the way of the headband mount. The bulk of the float makes the camera point way below where I am looking, and is simply not compatible with the headband usage. The float does work, and it will keep the camera from heading to the bottom, would be fine is hand holding the camera.

Bought one of these for my jet skiing trip to the lake. Happened to run into a rather large boat wake and it knocked the GoPro suction cup loose and into the water. Floated right up!

I bought and used this for a Hawaii trip and it gave me super high confidence that if the camera slipped out of my daughters hand we'd see it and we went disappointed.

It will support the weight of the camera and housing but will not support the additional weight of many mounts. I use a homemade tether when attaching to my boat just to be safe. I would recommend it if you're using a lightweight mount but otherwise any other mount will sink this.

Love it. The only problem was that GoPro has changed over time and you have to be careful which backdoor you put it on. DOUBLE CHECK.

I dropped my gopro from the boat and thanks to this floating add on i was able to retrieve my gopro!

If you're taking your gpro into muddy water, deep water, or any kind of watery environment where itll be hard or impossible to find if you drop it, youd be a fool not to get this.

You need this backdoor if you plan on owning a go pro. It doesn't matter if its mounted or not, if you drop the go pro in water you wont ever have to go diving for it.
