It works just fine but in - at home - trial it wasn't the best option. I went with a clip that attaches to the shoulder strap on my pack and it gives a more stable and equally appropriate recording angle (actually a more natural perspective). The ONLY reason I would not recommend this to a friend - is because it wasn't the right fit for me. The product functioned fine, just not for the purposes I need.
