Picked this up to keep on my quadcopter but to my surprise I can't take it out of the waterproof housing. It won't fit my 3-axis gimbal with the housing. That's why it so cheap compared to it's bigger brothers. I didn't see anything on the box that I couldn't take that out of the housing but overall its a great looking and great starter action camera that an amateur can pick up and go. I returned it and bought another option to fit my needs.

This was a gift for my niece. It is good and easy to use, but she doesn't use it as much as expected because it is not practical as a regular camera.

This waterproof hd go pro action camera is an entry level go pro that is quite reasonably priced and gives good value for exposure to this genre.

Nowhere on the product packaging, nor instructions, nor any on-line description did it mention that this camera is limited to a maximum of 32 Gigabyte memory cards! It won't take anything higher than 32 Gb. Be advised also that this only takes "SD" cards, and cannot take the newer SDHC nor SDXC cards. {It does say "SD" on the package} I bought this one rather than the more expensive Hero 4 because I was afraid to spend too much before I became a more experienced diver/photographer. An expensive mistake at this point in my mind

When I first got the camera worked fine first couple of times, left it in the box most of the year wanted to use for scuba diving only, tried it in a swimming pool worked ok then after battery wasn't lasting. took it to Florida thought I was taking shots of manatees nope got like 3 pictures dead battery this is after being plugged in all night to charge. plugged back in for next day got 10 minutes of filming. Come back to Ohio thought was a bad battery ordered another the whole camera stopped working, called BestBuy said I have to send to GoPro I email them they said they wouldn't work on it cause of it being older version, it was right at 1 year old, took it to camera shop they wouldn't work on it, now I'm out $600 for the camera the extra battery and all the harnesses and accessories that are useless with the current GoPro cameras. THANKS BESTBUY AND GOPRO way to stand up for the products you sell and make. Not a happy customer!!!

The gopro is a blast to use. It is very user friendly and fun.

Works great, recently took it on my camping trip and I got some pretty good shots with it.

Works just as good as newer version the fact that it's simpler makes it easier to use

If you only want to shoot silent movies, this is a great camera. Charlie Brown's teacher sounds intelligible next to someone speaking 3 feet from this camera.

I bought this camera because it was replacing the the GoPro Hero 3 White edition but for the price is not worth it. I open the box try to connect it to the computer and the camera was not even working. You will only get a couple of hours of battery life and you are not able to buy an extra battery because the battery is built in. I'm returning this camera asap.

This product was great for light activites, such as time lapse and just jogging with it. the camera has amazing quality and great battery life. My complaint is that the housing mount, broke on me while snowboarding. i did a jump and the impact was too much i guess and it snapped. This is bad because now i must replace the whole camera, instead of just the housing.

I purchase this to have another go pro, I use my go pro 4 silver as a dash cam and this will also be used to take videos in a different angle. Great product.

Great if you're not looking for the high end video capture. I would probably upgrade to a nicer go pro for a little more money.

This camera lacks good on-line support service. The included manual is almost too simplistic or basic to really be a decent guide for anyone to use. The links in the manual do not all work. When you go to the support area via the link, you can't find the on-line operating manual. I planned to use this camera as a back up and I already have two older GoPro models. My HERO Silver is my main camera and I also have a HERO 960, too. I'll use this camera for my Super Cub and Bixler RC planes, especially when I am on the water with my SC and using my floats there. The lack of support services is a bad thing. Also, I have not been able to download the softward for editing. At this point, I'll not be recommending this camera to anyone else until the support service improve dramatically for this camera. There are no videos from GoPro on how to use this camera and virtually nothing but unboxing videos on YouTube by individuals who purchased or are selling this product line.

Bought with no background knowledge of the GoPro products and I ended up loving it

This was what I needed. I would recommend this someone in a heart beat.
