Bought it to record my trip abroad and it was perfect. Was able to record all my jet skiing, snorkeling and diving without fear of ruining my camera.

I bought the GoPro after seeing multiple videos of users uploading them and I couldn't wait to buy one to use when I go off-roading in my Jeep. I've been using it around the house and it takes awesome videos!

This camera is no exception. Amazing video/picture quality. Great battery life. Love the form factor. Cohesive Gopro ecosystem makes this little thing even more fun and efficient!

Purchased to use in a Tough Mudder competition. It went through everything and the video quality was still quite good.

The video quality is not as good as the Hero 4 Silver or Black but it is very good and gets the job done.

How can this product get 4.6/5 rating?? I bought it couple of days ago and took some videos in my house for testing purposes. All videos have very HIGH level of white noise, static on the background. At the end I even recorded a video with no motion, no electronics working in the house, lights off, complete silence. Still the same loud static background noise. I use Sandisk Ultra micro SD, firmware is updated, app is updated. It will be impossible to use this cam and not get annoyed by it. I am not talking about something you can hardly notice when you pay attention, its so loud you would probably need to record a video in a loud environment to mask it. Googled the problem and saw many people have the same issue. Its unacceptable GoPro can produce and sell such a product in this condition as the leader of the market. This shouldnt have even passed the R&D! Will soon post a youtube video so people can hear what I am talking about.

Bought it before going to the Bahamas, and was looking forward to take underwater videos. Bought the hero sessions model, accessories, and a 32gig memory card, which was recommended by BestBuy. Tried the camera at home, and it worked -- I could record videos, and view them on my phone using the app -- I was ready! Once I tried to use if for real, the recording started stopping after only a few seconds, and when it would record for longer than a few seconds, the body would become hot, and eventually the window would display an error that the sd card was bad. On average, one out of ten tries yielded a video, but was no longer than 36seconds. I spent a lot of time trying to make it work, so I lost many "kodak" moments--complete waste of time. Once back home, I tried to debug the issue, spending more than 6hrs on this. One of the most common issues according to goPro is that the sd card is NOT the recommended type -- BUT THAT"S THE CARD BESTBUY RECOMMENDS!! I wasn't about to spend more money on a new sd card, so I took camera and all accessories and returned them to bestbuy for a full refund. I dont think the problem was with the sd card; i think the design is bad, with no easy way to dissipate heat, which causes problems recording/saving videos.

I use the go pro while walking my dog. Along with the chest harness, it does exactly what I need it to do. The removable memory card makes it easy to download the videos. Would very much recommend.

I was so pleased with this device. It wasn't the top end, but it performed great for what I needed. I will certainly buy more of these, and upgrade, in the future!

Maybe I was expecting too much out of a $200 camera? Or misunderstood the product. The image quality, sound and video on my smart phone (old LG G2) are vastly superior to this Camera. BUT my LG G2 isn't waterproof. I guess that's the only plus side to the Go Pro's. Also the menu on the Go Pro Session is very confusing at first, cycling through it feels awkward. After watching negative reviews on Youtube, I realize I should have done my homework and researched first. I do not recommend this product, it is not worth the money. Save up and get a decent product.

It's a great camera. Good qualities but the shutter time is slow

My session 4 has been malfunctioning for a few months but I would usually be able to take a couple pictures every time until it just stopped working. It turns on and off on a continuous loop. I finally called GoPro for help and they won't fix the camera. If I had damaged the camera or had been negligent with it, I would not be writing this review. That camera has never been dropped or mistreated. It failed because it was poorly made. I followed all the instructions that customer service could muster before they HUNG UP on me. It's a pathetic business model. And I'm disgusted with myself for having recommended GoPro to friends. Rest assured I will not be doing so again.
