I bought this GoPro because of the price versus the other GoPros. However I feel the video quality is a bit lacking. I do like the app and the features it adds. If you have the money upgrade to a high end GoPro unit it is well worth it.

Great product when it powers up. Next time I would step up and get the next model up.... seems to be an issue with powering up on the sessions according to go pro tech support

Nice thought would definitely recommend buying the larger camera and definitely purchase the larger size ad card

I have only used it a few times but I wish it had more buttons for controlling functions. I probably will get more use in the summer in the water.

Get the 4k version if you want a better image. This is a good toy!!!

I have to admit I could not wait to use my new hero session. I have used it a three times and all three times it has OVER HEATED AND SHUT DOWN !! None of the videos were any longer than 15 minutes. So it appears that I will be making a return trip to exchange this product and hope that the new one works better!!!!

This was for my son for Christmas. It's everything a 13 year old could need.

In terms of picture quality, it ended up reaching below my expectation

In a failed attempt to focus on social media content, GoPro has decided to disable the WIFI app unless you are logged into their servers. This means, if you want to control the camera from your phone while in a remote location without cellular service, you are out of luck. Read all of the other reviews on itunes app store for the "capture" app, as it has been renamed, to confirm this. I called customer service twice, and all they could do is apologize and confirm that there is no way to get it to work.

The s go pro is very flimsy. Haven't tried pictures underwater yet, but others are blurry.

The picture was not so clear as I expected. I should buy the higher model.

If you've been looking for a Gopro, I think this bundle is a great deal. You get the compact Hero Session camera- not the latest Session- with a SD card and handle. Also includes 2 mounts where you can stick anywhere your heart desires. The camera also comes on a mount, though wastefully it seems permanently affixed to cheap plastic. Before I yak away, I'm going to get to one issue that really peeved me. You'll notice the advertised resolution "1440p". What does 1440p mean to you? To most of us it would mean 2560x1440- just one notch below Ultra HD. Guess what? It's NOT 2560x1440. It's 1920x1440. That's so lame. After getting back from a test run on a hike, I was so confused when I saw that everything was in 4:3 aspect ratio. For the non-technical folks, that's how things looked on old TVs. So basically if you want widescreen you have 1080p and that's it. BUYER BEWARE- this is upsetting me to the point where I want to return the device and go for a cheaper, brand name alternative. I did a test run while hiking in the woods, the video quality is a little bit to be desired. There's just something about it that's not clear. The details don't stand out and it's really dark. I am sure there's some adjusting to be had but that's part of the disappointment. In all of the marketing photos where it shows crystal clear video- do I need to fine tune it so that everything doesn't look muddy? I'm not a sports person but I do like to travel. I plan to take this device with me- happily mounted on a backpack strap so I can record videos while I focus on enjoying the local atmosphere. I don't necessarily find the "HEY LOOK AT ME, I HAVE A CAMERA!" thing all too appealing, so the miniature size of the device is most appealing to me. Comparing it to the regular Gopro series that is. The included hand grip is nice because the cube itself is a bit awkward to hold. The device is also waterproof out of the box- which will be much appreciated for those times when it rains. I believe this thing also works with all Gopro accessories. For the price, I think it's about right. The included accessories make it a good buy. The latest hero session actually records in UHD and has significantly better video stabilization, among other things. But I think if you have the coin to buy this device, you probably also have video editing software that can stabilize video for you.

I wish I could review but once we opened it it would not turn on so we charged it and still nothing. Need to exchange and hopefully the next one will work. Cant wait to use it
