I'm shocked there are so many great reviews here, considering how hot this thing gets. I took this on a trip to Detroit and ran a timelapse all the way there (about 5 hours). No issues. It was hot, but nothing crazy. I also ran a timelapse around Woodward avenue, but the camera overheated. I just chalked it up to being in the windshield in traffic. It worked to run the ~40 minute normal speed video on the way back to the hotel. After this one day, the Hero 10 will no longer take video longer than around 25 minutes before overheating. It actually gets so hot, you can burn your hand if you continue to hold the metal ears at the bottom of it. The fix for the overheating, which is tripod mode, doesn't let you choose narrow or linear viewing angle, and locks you at 4K, wide angle. That ruins the whole use case as "Hollywood in your hand." Pretty sure no one in Hollywood is normally recording with a fisheye effect.

Great video camera. I use it mounted on my FPV drone to get footage. It is a bit heavy for my use, but the video quality is undisputed. I have already crashed and cracked the back screen so the Best Buy warranty is a must. Have not used the warranty quite yet as the camera still works throught the app, but I have peace of mind knowing I can activate my warranty anytime for a replacement.

After e Hero 8 and bragging to my daughter about how much I enjoyed my Hero 8, she finally convinced me to let her have it. So, that gave me the opportunity or should I say excuse to upgrade to the Hero 10, and I am glad. Both are very, very easy to use and convenient cameras. There are so many uses that I will not go into them as I am still discovering new uses every day.

This is a great camera for any activity. Going on an adventure? Perfect! This captures all of the memories I want to remember and it captures them in very good quality!

Great price from Best Buy! Wish I purchased sooner and stayed away from Insta360. These ease of editing on the GoPro Quik app is amazing. Definitely better than insta. Shoot great quality and stable footage while I’m out running. See TonyFromNC on IG for some of the videos.
