Perfect Camera
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera has served it’s purpose so far, I’ve shot motion pictures and stills and both came out great, I’ve used it with the light mod, mic mod and remote control grip and all worked well once I learned how to use it. The editing software is ok but I’m sure I can pay for an advance software when I need to do something more advance but for now this gets the job done.

Buy the newer one.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not bad if you can grab it on sale. I wouldn't pay full price since this model can't record in the dark very well.

Waste of money!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a great product, I purchased this specifically for my Bahama cruise trip to record some memorable moments, but this little piece of crap did not work at all. I had 2 perfectly working 128 GB micro SD cards which work fine with my DJI Air 2s drone, but this camera kept complaining "SD card Err" and prompted me to reformat which I did multiple times on both the cards, but every time it complained SD card Err and did not record anything. Basically, it screwed up my trip. Maybe this one was a faulty piece given all the positive reviews, maybe I will give it a try again or I will go with some other action Cam may be from Sony this time!!

Regretfully owning one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned and old one but never pay attention to it back then. But this 10 is the best however why GoPro can’t solved the heating problem. Being that said all their products are not worth it! As the whole set price are equivalent to a new iPhone which is friendly user and way better video and picture compare to this.

A rugged camera for outdoor and action setting
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure: My last GoPro camera before GoPro Hero 10 was about 8 years ago and it was a basic entry level GoPro which took a very good pictures. Much obviously has changed since then. Upon taking the camera out of the case – which is basically the packaging itself – genius idea, and turning it on, a camera upgrade is required. This is a very simple process, much like upgrading iphone or other devices, as long as you have WIFI nearby. If you have never own GoPro before, the camera requires SD card V30 or higher – anything lower maybe to slow for GoPro. One the reasons a faster SD card is required is because this camera comes with the newest GP2 processor. Saving the photos or videos is fast. The new processor may also help with the LCD touch screen. However, from my own experience, the touch screen can be a hit or a miss. It’s very responsive, but depending on which function button that you touch, you may or may not get what you want. I hope with continued using of the camera, I can eventually get the correct amount of pressure with the touch screen. However, the app called GoPro Quick, solves the touch screen sensitivity issue because most of those functions (or maybe all?) can be done using the app. To use it, the app needs to join with the GoPro WIFI. I do find using the touch screen and the app eat up the battery fast. Supposedly, taking 5.3K video would last the battery about 60 minutes, while 4K video would last you about 90 minutes. But if you have used GoPro before, you know that having extra batteries (2 or more) is the way to go, especially if you want to make videos or use the camera underwater. There are a lot of setting that you can do manually with this camera. It might take you awhile to learn all of these settings. For pictures however, there is a setting called SuperPhoto which basically analyzes the environment and take the best picture possible. This setting takes a few second to save while the standard setting takes no time at all. And if you inclined, you could take HDR or RAW pictures. Unless you have a bunch of extra batteries, I would suggest using SuperPhoto setting for taking pictures. This is the defaut setting of this camera. You can also take pictures in wide, linear or narrow. Inside pictures and night time setting are pretty good. A lot of phone cameras take better pictures. Outside pictures are definitely what this camera is aiming for. Yes, some phone cameras can take better picture outside, but for a more challenging environment, this is the camera that you want to bring. Several outside pictures I took show how good the color balance is. Color is very natural and the camera captures every details at 23 MP. In fact, having the right attachment, this is a very good camera for selfie. You can also buy USB pass-through door that will give you a continues power for web cam. And if you GoPro subscriber, which highly recommended at $50 a year, all of these attachments, including battery, priced very competitively, even compare to Amazon. And best of all, with extra fee of $100, you can get the camera replaced twice a year, no question asked. All for $50 a year – which also includes unlimited cloud photo storage. The default setting for taking video is 4K at 30 fps but you can also use 5.3K at 30 fps. I was taking sample videos inside my car while the car was in motion and the videos looks really good. The camera has a hyper smooth setting which make bumpy action easy to film. There are many options that I still need to explore with this camera. One that I definitely most excited about is that the camera is supposed to be waterproof up to 33 feet. One reviewer mentions that the lens has hydrophobic coating which reduces bubbles while taking pictures in the water. In conclusion, I would really recommend this camera for its versatility, its size and how good a video looks with this camera. And maybe with more practice, I can also get a better indoor and night time pictures. FYI: there is also setting called nightime, which I just found out while writing this review, that I didn’t use when I took a nightime pictures. Again, more options to explore with this camera. I am going to have a lots of fun with it.

No thanks
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first action camera, and it did not impress. The touch screen was often unresponsive, requiring me to tap it several times to activate my choice from the menu. I also had to search out specialized software on my Windows PC to view the video files. It was obvious after only a few minutes this camera was not a keeper.

GoPro to Go Far
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this thing. Took it to Cancun and Germany and got a waterproof case too as backup. Got an extra battery as it lasts approx 35-45 mins depending on the setting you use. Super clean filming and getting the app (basic) helps to save it to your phone too via wifi/bluetooth. Great for travel moments without the bulk.

Don't buy it OVERHEATS and shuts down.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Hero 10 overheats all the time if you try to use it for very long. It will not last the entire battery which can run for 1 hour but it shuts itself down due to overheating.

Manufacturer defect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera malfunctioned on first use. I have no pictures from my vacation. Everything was set up correctly and our first day out, the whole screen became foggy, and the camera filled with water. Apparently there was a broken seal. Thank God I purchased the warranty. Two weeks old and already had to send it out for repair. Haven’t gotten it back yet. It’s been about three weeks. Waiting to see if it works or not.
