I had always wanted a GoPro camera for action shots and video that would rival my iPhone. The GoPro 11 black creators edition fits that bill. This camera is very versatile and the size is more manageable to hold especially when connected to the battery handle. The resolution format goes all the way up to 5K although the more resolution you shoot with, the more memory the videos and photos will take on your card. I usually shoot in 4K and mount this camera to a microphone stand for filming my YouTube videos. The controls are intuitive and quick to learn. The camera lens is very versatile as it allows me to film the entire area in a small space similar to an iPhone dies with the wide-angle lens. The screen can be set to super wide angle which kind of gives a fish eye lens appeal. The quality of the images are top-notch and perfect for transferring to YouTube. Action and speed are this cameras forte so you get a very smooth action when you're filming stuff that passes you by quickly. The large back screen is good enough to get your area within the frame of what you were shooting and the front screen allows you to see yourself whether you are in the frame or not. One of the best features as when I can meet this camera to my iPhone using a free app which allows me to transfer my files directly to my phone as well as control the phone in regards to preview settings. The icing on the cake is the ability to start and stop recordings without having to be near the camera. As long as the camera can hear you in the microphone, there are many commands you can give it which I have found immensely convenient as compared to having to start and stop my videos with my iPhone. The small rechargeable LED that can be attached to the cold shoe is plenty enough light when shooting. The camera comes with an array of attachments that allow you to mount the camera in different positions on different surfaces. The battery that also acts like a tripod has charging plugs on it as well as pop out legs and a swivel at the top so the camera can be swiveled and angled in any position. You will need to purchase a micro SD card to save your images and video. I believe I purchased a 256 GB card which holds plenty of media. I'm just overjoyed that I finally have pulled the trigger on the 11th iteration of this camera. I was first initially disappointed to read many instances of overheating however I have not discovered that in my own experience and I have recorded for hours at a time. Time will tell whether that continues to happen when the local weather reaches over 110°. At that point I probably won't wanna be outside filming anything anyway. I think the camera makes a great addition to anybody who creates videos for YouTube. I am really enjoying this camera.

As someone who uses their phone and a dSLR primarily to capture their vacations/adventures, I always was a little skeptical of GoPros. I did have one briefly long ago in the days of the Hero 6, but never really quite found the perfect use for it. This creator edition definitely adds a lot more features and usefulness to it. Let's start with what it comes with: - A nice sturdy hardshell zippered case to put everything in - The GoPro itself - A "case" that it slides into, and has two cold shoes to slot accessories onto, such as the light - The light accessory - Microphone wind cover - Battery - Powered remote / tripod - USB-C to USB-A cable - USB-C to USB-C cable - Battery cover that allows pass-through to the USB-C port for continuous recording while charging - Two thumb-screws for securing the GoPro to the mounts - Adhesive mount - Two GoPro threaded mounts that slide into the adhesive mount - Additional two-prong adapter What really adds functionality and value to this setup is the tripod. It has its own built in controls and battery, meaning that you can control the GoPro in kind of a vlog-style while also charging it. However, it also has Bluetooth functionality, so you can use it also as a wireless remote! I can definitely see that being a game changer, being able to remotely trigger it that way, instead of using the voice commands or the app, or a timer. Everything in this kit charges via USB-C, which is super handy, and the case, as mentioned before, has two cold-shoe locations, so you can have, for example, the included light (which has a removable diffuser cover), as well as maybe a separate wireless mic transceiver, such as a RODE Wireless Go. The entire setup is very secure, and doesn't feel heavy when held with just one hand. If there was one nitpick, however, it would be that the USB-C cable that the tripod has to charge the GoPro is fixed and cannot be removed, meaning that if you do use it as a wireless remote, the cable is just, sort of hanging by itself. It is short, so at least it will not easily get tangled on anything else. Another thing I did want to point out is that the mount on the tripod on which the GoPro attaches/screws into rotates - it does take a little bit of force to rotate it, but it does rotate and can definitely help in terms of the natural hand positioning when holding the remote with your fingers over the buttons and having the camera pointed in the right direction. Overall I really do like this setup and do plan on using it on my next trip. The images and videos it takes are pretty spectacular, and of course, have that unique GoPro look that makes the images/videos fun and unique.

Great camera. Great package. Combine with the GoPro app you can actually see what you’re filming on your phone. The camera was easy to set up. A lot easier to set up than previous go pros. I liked it so much, I bought another. The only objection is that some of the external accessories don’t fit that well because the lower tabs of the GoPro 11 are a little wider, or larger gaps between the little tabs. Not all my accessories fit; however, they’re a little sturdier on the 11.

Solid Upgrade to an Already Capable Platform

So what's new with the Hero 11 itself? Nothing on the outside other than the label. All the changes are going to be inside. A larger sensor allows for an 8x7 aspect ration, 10-bit color video, new ultra-wide ‘HyperView’, HyperSmooth 5.0 video stabilization, full 360-degree horizon lock, as well as the previously optional high performance Enduro battery now becoming standard. The Hero 11 can film video at up to 5.3k/60fps along with 4k/120 fps and 2/7k/240 fps. While the previous GoPro captured in 8-bit color which has a palette of 16.7 million different colors, the Hero 11's 10-bit color allows for the camera to capture over 1 billion (yes, that's with a 'b') colors. While the difference may not jump out at you , it is noticeable. The Hero 11 Black also introduces Hypersmooth 5.0 which I believe is one of the most useful features on these cameras. The stabilization it offers pretty much makes using a gimble an afterthought. No breakthroughs here, however. While it does work better than the previous iteration of HyperSmooth, with low-light performance enhancements and horizon leveling with the high tilt limit (so your footage looks perfectly level), the difference is subtle. It helps, but it certainly doesn't change the way you film. The new sensor allows capture of video in an almost square aspect ratio. Where this is really advantageous is if you create content for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, which commonly uses a 4:5 aspect ratio. With an almost square aspect ratio to begin with, you can edit the video to different aspect ratios without losing any resolution. It is in this context that the Creator's edition bundle excels. It's very useful as a tool to create content for social media. The bundle adds a Volta (Battery Grip/Tripod/ Remote), media mod, light mod and sound diffuser, giving you everything you need for live streams and vlogging for hours without the necessity of changing batteries. The GoPro Hero 11 Black Creator's Edition comes with a nice case with carrying handle which is a very nice convenience when packing all those accessories around. For still photos, the Hero 11 a introduces 27 megapixel camera, up from the 23 megapixel Hero 10. Not a feature I use a lot and not a significant improvement, but the photos were better, which is all that matters. An important feature I am excited about is that the Hero 11 now comes with an "Enduro" battery as standard, said to offer up to 38% longer battery life. I didn't get to measure it completely as I didn't use it long enough to run out, but the battery did not drop nearly as fast as the standard battery in my other GoPro. It was a noticeable improvement. The battery also is far less prone to be impacted by hot or cold temperatures, and I had no issues whatsoever with the GoPro overheating, and that's while recording at 4k and 5.3k, though to be fair I've only used it for a couple of days. The Hero 11 adds a few other features. There's a new easy mode for the UI, HyperView with captures more width and significantly more height than SuperView, resulting in a much wider field of view, and a a couple of long-exposure night modes. Overall, the Hero 11 offers a combination of features that makes it a good evolutionary upgrade over the Hero 10. It builds on a already capable platform. For me, the biggest differences were the 10-bit color, gives the video more pop without oversaturating the colors. and the extended battery which lasted an hour and a half to almost two hours, depending on the modes used. If you're really into filming and creating content, it's a good upgrade over the Hero 10, however if you only use a GoPro as a casual hobby, if you already own a 10, or even a 9, I don't consider the 11 it a must-have upgrade. If you have a Hero 8 or older though, it's most definitely a generational leap.

I like the product, however it's not as easy to use as what people say. Its extremely hard to open, heavy when carrying around, and requires a lot of charging time. I'm still trying to figure out how to work it. However, the sound quality is great for such a small camera and the life on the batter is good for the camera. The Handle on the otherhand, not as much. The battery life didn't last long on the handle expecially when in video mode. I learned that you have to charge each individual piece in order for the camera to turn on. I didn't fully charge the battery the first time, as I though it would charge with the stick, and boy was I wrong. the camera wouldn't turn on until I fully charged the camera battery. The flash is great, just remember to charge it. Overage a great little camera with excellent pictures and videos. I would definitely recommend to those who do vlogging.

For years I have had the GoPro Hero 3 and it finally quit on me so I decided to upgrade to the latest HERO11 Black Creator Edition. Wow what an upgrade from the Hero 3. This camera is light years beyond what I had and is amazing. Duel screens, front and back. It is water proof to a certain depth without a case. The best part is I can still use all of my attachments from years gone by. The battery handle is all I need instead of buying additional batteries and it acts as a tripod as well with a swivel mount on top. You can use it with or with out the cover case that has an extra mic and light attachment. Or you can connect your own wireless mic system which I do. The Rode II mic system works great. A bit pricy but got it on discount. I'm happy with this.

GoPro has consistently shown they know how to deliver great products for the adventure and blogger in all of us. This set is all you need to start things off, either doing your own video blog or with recording memories of family and friends. We are an adventure family and try to go explore what the PNW has to offer and it's been so great having this to record. It's super easy to set up (just make sure you get a memory card that is compatible). From the handle to the camera, everything feels quality made. It has a heft to it, but not too heavy, but enough to feel like it's not fragile. You can get up and running within minutes. All the instructions are here. I've read about overheating, but so far my unit hasn't had any issues. Of course, it's not super hot out now, and even cooler in the woods, but I had it running over 2-3 hours and there weren't any hiccups. We even got some nice night shots, which proved to look great when we ran it back. If you're looking for an excellent starter set, this is it.

The GoPro is a must-have for anyone into content creation or outdoor adventures. The video quality is amazing, it’s super durable, and the stabilization makes every shot look smooth. Whether I’m hiking, biking, or just capturing everyday moments, this thing keeps up. Compact, waterproof, and easy to use—totally worth it!

I really do like the camera a lot, but you’d think they’d have a lot more refinement in the functionality of it by now. The touchscreen is a laggy at times and it’s annoying. Each button on the camera “feels” different than the other, but still work as they should. The Volta that comes with the Creator Edition is an awesome tool and I have really enjoyed that! I find the microphone using the “Mod” is excellent! I was on top of a mountain where there weren’t any people and the nuances of nature were picked up beautifully… birds, snow falling from trees, quaking aspen… stabilization is incredible too! Overall, I am pleased coming from the Hero 7, but geez… get the functionality pegged by now! No excuses for poorly executed buttons and touchscreens this day in age.

So i am new to needing a action camera! I carefully read reviews on other options and other brands! I was amazed on how extremely simple this camera is to operate. Love the instant on feature! Love the quality of the photos and video's. I love the Bluetooth feature to download directly from the camera wireless. The Viola handle is awesome has and extra battery for extended recording. Definitely loving this updated version. It does overheat and then stop filming, which is annoying, but I tend to take short snippets anyway and throw them together. Overall I’m really enjoying it & find the app fairly easy to use. I had zero knowledge about taking : making videos before so if I can figure it out, anyone can! My only complaint is, I feel like the GoPro should have come with more information on the little photo/instruction card in the box. I thought I was following the instructions, but I definitely broke the little door off that isn’t where the charging port is, but looks like it. Only after I went on YouTube to find videos it said do not break this! It’s not your charging port!
